Now, I expected to view this and scoff. I've been a Mortal Kombat fan from wayy back, but I also prefer old school games. Every once in a while though, a new game comes along to make me wish I had the mentality to buy it.
This looks awesome. All of the interactive environment is viewtiful, but I never think fighting games need them, more important are the characters than the environment. Fighting game characters are like horror movie characters: if the creators don't flesh them out and make them personable, we can't feel empathy for them and cease to care when they are hacked to bits.
Here, my favorites are more alive than they've ever been. Look at reptile here, he's never been this menacing and other world. It was also a change to actually hear about conceptually what the creators "meant" to do with a game that's been resurrected more times than Shao Kahn.
You guys check this out and discuss, especially those who own this now. I won't be getting involved with buying new systems, so let me live through you momentarily. Talk about it.
