Hi guys. I'm Michael from North Carolina, and I'm a distributor with Herbalife. We are a nutrition company that been around for 30 years helping people with better health and nutrition. Before Herbalife, I was overweight at 230lbs with High Chloresterol and high blood pressure. Ever since I've been with Herbalife, I lost over 60 pounds in months. Our products are all natural, we sell everything from meal replacements thru supplements. I have been using their products for almost a year and still keeping my weight down. I looking for other distributors in this gay community, if you are not familiar with Herbalife, I welcome you to join this forum so we can chat, to learn more about the products and the company. It's also a great business opportunity as well, I'm talking free vacations, and more time for you family. For more info, check out my website www.shopherbalife.com/mjstokes.

I don't know what you mean by that picture, what does it represents me as a bad sales rep. I'm not on here just trying to make money, just simply getting the word out. It's a great company with amazing products. If you don't believe me, that's too bad because I know the products does work.

You can call it whatever you want, but I know the products does work! I've met people making thousands of dollars each month selling the stuff. Not trying to make money, but I would love to help people stay healthy. So don't be making assumptions that this company is bad.

How come I'm receiving negative remarks from all you guys? If you have been to my website you should know everything about the company and what it has to offer. For all I know that ever since I've been using their products I've lost 60lbs by drinking protein shakes. I'm telling you all guys this stuff DOES WORK! This is no pyramid scheme! You are building a pyramid all right. You talk to people, get them to try one of the products, and they like it. They tell others and others tell the others. As an entrepreneur, that's how you build your own business. JUST CHECK OUT MY WEBSITE AND WATCH THE VIDEO!

Sorry, this is a site for people who care about fitness. And as you can see from many photos on this site, many guys are actually quite good at it.

Therefore, I doubt there will be any interest in a product line designed with a) a sketchy marketing scheme and b) a target audience of overweight midwestern woman who never seen a gym in their lives.

Also, as Pail said, you're fat. You kinda gotta practice what you preach. Whether you have a monster truck spare tire or a U-Haul trailer spare tire, it's still a spare tire.

And if you're really "not into this to make money", you're a moron. If you really wanna "help people" you should become a nurse. Everybody else is just trying to make money.

In summary... you're doing it wrong.

This is the WRONG VENUE FOR YOU AND YOUR PITCH. The company may be legitimate and you may be earnest in your desire to spread the good word. But look around here. Really LOOK. The men on RJ do not look the way they do because they took (a grossly over-priced) supplement and waited to see if they could reach the stellar heights of mediocrity that are at best what may be achieved through the type of program YOU ARE SELLING HERE.

When referring to the "average" RJ dude, quite frankly the bar has been set extremely high. These guys do not have the results they do because of herbs. While diet is crucial, it is dedication, solid nutrition, lifestyle changes and HARDCORE WORKOUTS that have created what you see on just about any profile page here.

I am glad you feel you have had positive results. But again, look around. Seriously look around here. This may not be the place for YOU to be preaching fitness (for profit). 'Nuff said?

    Good luck!

There are millions of people out using the stuff and financially stable right now. It not about losing weight, we sell products that designed for muscle building. I go everywhere to get the word out especially here. Lots of guys are fitness majors here. Regardless of how much crap I get from others is making me a lot stronger to keep working. I'm still using the stuff, and now working hard building muscles and to develop a leanier body.

Just in case anyone is unclear as to wether or not this is in fact advertising - the OP refers to it that way himself. This is the advertising e-mail he sent to me with my response. As I state I normally wouldn't post like this but I assume an AD is for general public consumption.

    ---- FROM ColorMeBlack Jul 03, 2011 at 9:15 PM
Hey man regarding about your post, I believe that it is the right venue for me. I'm not going to let any negative remarks from keeping me from spreading the word out. It's a good place for me to advertise. Why? Because it not only for losing weight, we have a variety of products designed for athletes. Therefore I'll continue to advertise on this site. Thank you.

    my response:

Hey “man” what YOU fail to understand is that the forums in this community are an inappropriate place for you to ADVERTISE anything (your word). It is even a part of the TOS. If you were an entrepreneur worth more than the dust collecting on the crates of product taking up space in your garage you would have the ability to identify your market and find a way of approaching potential customers that not only have a need for your service but in a way that is not completely and utterly offensive to them. You may as well be selling hamburger to a vegan commune and trying to tell them how low-fat the meat is. It is stupid. Look AT EVERY SINGLE POST IN THE THREAD YOU STARTED. Not one person has responded positively. That includes men who have lost more than 100 lbs and completely changed their bodies.

If you wanted to start a discussion about supplements – including the ones you use AND ADVERTISE that would have been one thing. That is not what you did. If you want to ADVERTISE do like any other vendor and negotiate a fee structure with RJ Admin and keep your pitch out of the forums.

As far as any negativity you feel I am unfairly tossing at you – I think I have been rather diplomatic in merely hinting that you may not be the best example for the members of a site such as RJ. Again, other members – ones far more qualified than I - have been much more forthcoming and blunt in their assessment of your “qualifications.” Feel free to re-read their responses to you.

I personally don’t care if you believe in the products or not. All I am suggesting is that you take your pitch to an appropriate venue and not ADVERTISE in a place and manner that is not only offensive but incredibly stupid.

Although I would usually never post a PM in a forum – since you have stated that this in fact ADVERTISING, and I assume this e-mail is another portion of that ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN then I will also assume this is for general public consumption and post it the ADVERTISING THREAD you started. I hope that is OKAY with you. Wouldn’t want you to think of me as crass or inappropriate in any way.

BTW – great way to ingratiate yourself into a community. Welcome!!!
I assume someone else will be handling the PR for your entrepreneurial empire.

Hey guys. I would like to say I really messed things up creating this forum. This is meant for discussion only. I was just trying to find other guys who were also using the products too. I'm not trying to persuade others in the business, but it has done a lot for me and had dramatic results. So therefore please understand what I'm trying to do.
