Too much?

    I started weight training 5 months ago and getting great results. Since I need to loose fat I gave in and started cardio that went from 1 to 3 days a week. After my second week of 3 cardio sessions and 3 weight sessions I was exhausted and found my muscles didn't have as much tone to them, and I gained 3 pounds despite not eating any differently.
    I've been really dedicated and want to go somewhere with this but am kinda confused now as to where to go from here.
    Any advise?

    Sounds like you either gained some muscle in your legs from the extra cardio, or you're retaining water...or both.
    And yes, if your body tells you you're doing too much, you're doing too much.
    Listen to your body and be patient. I was almost your size/proportion 1.5 years ago. icon_wink.gif

    I really don't want to, it would feel like more of a diet instead of a lifestyle chage. If that makes sense.
    I think the 6 days was too much. I just took 2 days off and feel so much better. Just needed time to heal a bit and going in for weights today.
