So I went out last night at a gay bar in Houston having a good time. At 1 am i began walking back to my car, which was about 5 blocks away from the bar. As I was approaching my car another vehicle stopped beside me.. one man jumped out of his car and grabbed my phone and eye glasses and pushed me to the ground. I chased him down and grabbed unto his shirt as he got back into the passenger side of the vehicle he rode in.I told myself that I would not let go and let him get away with my phone so I held on to his shirt with a strong grip. After he got back in his car, the vehicle starting moving forward while my hand still had a firm grip on the guy's shirt. As the car drove I ran right alongside of it for a block. The guy whose shirt I grasped slammed the car door on my wrist three times. On the third slam I let go of the guy and I took a tumble on the street as the car was going at a pretty high speed.

Three other guys saw and came to help me out after. We all began to search for my eye glasses in the hopes the thief dropped them in the struggle I gave him...

today I learned to just let them get away that way I don't risk my life further..

I just wanted to say be careful guys when you go out. You never imagine things of this sort happening to you but it does.. icon_sad.gif

    Fuck.

You don't think it's a gay hate crime. Do you? But you don't look very fem anyway. Maybe those guys saw you came out of the gay bar and assumed that you're an easy target? Damn red neck fucking gay-hating breeders they should die.

    Glad you are ok.

    I'm glad you're physically okay.
And, I hope that the emotional trauma will be gone quickly.

He could have had a gun.
    He could have shot you.
They could have beaten you, severely.

Your life and health are worth a hell of a lot more than a phone and a pair of glasses.

    Hugs.

I'm sorry to hear that, but grateful to see you were relatively unscathed in an incident that could have ended tragically.

Let's not assume they were white simply because this occurred in Texas. Let's leave race out of this.

i think it's good you fought back, fear of people fighting back is one of the few things stopping crimes like this. there's definitely a limit to how far you can take that though. grabbed your phone and ran, doesn't sound too threatening, no sight of a gun at all. if there's a gun, fuck that, just lose the phone. good thing you're alright though.

Those bastards should be beaten silly!! Glad you're ok though! *hugs* Have you made a police report and given a description about the thieves and what vehicle they were driving?

I sympathize my house got robbed last month so I can understand how pissed you would be.
