The Michael Barone who is a pundit on FOX
and whose shining career is highlighted by working for the Washington Examiner as well?

When Anschutz started the Examiner in its current format, he envisioned creating a conservative competitor to The Washington Post
"When it came to the editorial page, Anschutz’s instructions were explicit — he 'wanted nothing but conservative columns and conservative op-ed writers,' said one former employee."

or the Michael Barone who said this?
On November 11, 2008, Barone said journalists trashed Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, the Republicans' vice presidential nominee, because "she did not abort her Down syndrome baby." Barone was speaking at the Palmer House Hilton in Chicago to the 121st annual meeting of the National Association of State Universities and Land Grant Colleges. Barone later confirmed making the remarks but claimed to be joking.

Oh ... there one in the same sorry icon_rolleyes.gif

"The Michael Barone who is a pundit on FOX"

Well that's a credible start. What could possibly be wrong with that?

So attack the messenger? I can't much comment on the content yet - gotta read it first.

    Attack the messenger ?
I don't Need to Attack him
    He attacks himself

I read his drivel .... it's the same doomsday scenario
the republican party has been whipping up since Obama took office
But what Mr Barone and company seem to ALWAYS forget is that if it wasn't for the government stepping in and taking charge of sectors of our economy when they did

.............. we wouldn't HAVE an economy to talk about

All of this ....... every job lost every corporate welfare check that goes out is a result of the economic view of the republican party over the last thirty years
The give EVERYTHING to the corporate sector and take away from the middle class mentality

and the Sh*t has hit the proverbial fan my friend
They ate up everything ........ and now they're coming for the only thing that's left
Things like Social Security and Medicare
So for me Mr Barone can sneak back into the little FOX hole he crawled out of

and have a nice day icon_wink.gif

This wasn't so much about Obamanomics as it was about the media's reaction to the current Obama administration's policies on the economy.

Under the Bush administration, the media couldn't predict the next recession fast enough but under the current Obama administration, it seems every negative indicator is a complete surprise and unexpected:

    Take today:
    - http://www.cnbc.com/id/43222783 "'Double-Dip' in Housing Prices Even Worse Than Expected"
    - http://finance.yahoo.com/news/Consumer-Confidence-falls-apf-1525822108.html;_ylt=AqITeG81g9liW8ZkRQuSlnO7YWsA;_ylu=X3oDMTE1MTEwOGZtBHBvcwMzBHNlYwN0b3BTdG9yaWVzBHNsawNjb25zdW1lcmNvbmY-?x=0&sec=topStories&pos=main&asset=&ccode= (Associated Press) - "Consumer confidence falls unexpectedly in May"

All is not well with the US economy and this is not good for anyone. The problem is that the best prescription that the current Obama Administration can come up with is more of the same.
