I hear it's legit. I live in LA and I hear of a ton of guys who go out to Pcola for this. That really surprised me because I didn't know Pcola was on the map. Especially the gay one.

I used to live in Pcola (but before I was a practicing gay) so I never went down to PB while this was going on. There were a lot of Lesbians in Downtown Pcola that weekend though. I'd say the chances of those hot Atlanta guys coming down is high so the forecast is good.

It's one of the best gay parties in america. I would totally go if I were you. Guys are southern and social.
Abracadbra is a super wild party. It's cheap compared to alot of other circuit parties.

I think this is actually my fifth year going. We usually take a group and have a few comforts on the beach like a full bar, swimming pool, etc...

A big year is something like 50000 people but it never has had any sort of formal publicity, just a giant, informal gay beach party. Kind of like us east coasters imagine SF to be year round icon_smile.gif

california is by no means the "end all be all" (though it is mighty fine). in fact, ive lived in 3 countries and wouldnt necessarily mind moving to a 4th. all that said, let me repeat, i live in california, there's no reason to go to florida.

Since you live in NC, yes. It tends to blow most people's mind the first time.
Every year is different but always worth the trip.

As a Pensacolian, I can say "come on down"! My friends and I moved here four years ago and were shocked at how many gay people came for Memorial Day! We were used to Fire Island, Ogunquit, Provincetown, etc.

None of that compares to 75,000 queers descending on a small town. Wow.

There's a reason they call it the Gay Riviera!

I hear its just another Circut party.

I'm going camping with about 30 friends and my dog instead.

I've gone with friends for 5 years now and have yet to attend a circuit party. Really prefer not to encourage them but they are there, like anywhere else.

I would call it a beach party with optional circuit attendance. Watching the leftover circuit "ghosts" scattered around the beach as we show up at 6:30am is entertaining though.

I went last year and plan to go again this year. And I didn't go to the circuit party.

The "main event" is the beach during the day. About 50,000 gays and lesbians set up tailgating tents side by side along the shore and hang out together all day. We didn't meet anybody unfriendly during the entire trip -- no attitude. It was a nice surprise for all of us, as we figured we'd want to leave after the first day. I've never seen such a mix of people hanging out together.
