Gay used to mean happy, so a ban on gay marriage is very appropriate since most people don't have a happy marriage anyway. icon_twisted.gif

Every marriage in the US and Canada is ALREADY a civil union (partnership) because by law you require a license issued by the gov't in order to get married, religiously or not. In Canada the gov't saved massive amounts of money by simply making it all marriage instead of having to expensively create new sets of laws for two different types of unions and all the legal paperwork to go with doing such a thing. The US is in big economic trouble, so simply making it all just marriage is a giant cost saver (not to mention creating a huge boost in retail for clothes, wedding planners, caterers, etc etc etc.) Good economic sense.

    Does that help?

Google is your friend, too. There are lots of easily accessible pieces on this topic that you could review for ideas.

I dont believe in marriage. For ANYONE.

Now...if 2 adults want to enter in to a contract they should be able to.

If you want to have a big, stupid, wasteful ceremony in front of your friends and family thats your business. Not mine, theirs or the government's.
