Lady GaGa has declared that she can't travel down a highway without thinking of legendary rocker Bruce Springsteen.

Springsteen is known for expressing his love of the open road in songs like 'Thunder Road', 'Born to Run' and 'Racing in the Street'.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee's vivid descriptions of speeding down the interstate have left a significant impression on GaGa.

She spoke of her admiration of Springsteen on MTV's Lady GaGa: Inside the Outside special, saying: "Whenever I surge down a highway, I can't not think about Bruce Springsteenā€¦ That's what's great about real legends. They own the whole f**king interstate."

The musician even called in Springsteen's saxophonist Clarence Clemons to play on the Born This Way track 'Hair'.

GaGa went on to profess that her parents, Joseph and Cynthia, inspired her to become a musician by introducing her to the work of Springsteen and many other rock icons.

"It's totally their fault," she said. "Don't spoon-feed me the Beatles and Stevie Wonder and Bruce Springsteen and Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin and Elton John, and expect for me not to turn out this way!"

I think she would be a great full force rocker. Clemons also plays sax on Edge of Glory. There's endless Gaga threads of people loving and hating, but I will say, she's on another level compared to her pop tart peers like Katy Perry or Rihanna.

I remember babysitting for a woman I barely knew and she only had a record player and all of Bruce Springsteen's albums laying out. At that time, I only knew Born in the USA and hated it. Sheer boredom drove me to listen to his other albums and I had never heard anything like it. Thunder Road, stolen car and racing in the street destroy me.
He sort of ruined me. My fantasy from then on has been a blue collar guy with a gravely voice coming home from a long day of hard labor, sitting at a piano or playing guitar pouring his heart out to me.
Needless to say, I've yet to find him.

She tweeted that around New Years' and I died of happiness.

And then raged as countless fans speculated it was a lyric from her new album. icon_rolleyes.gificon_rolleyes.gificon_rolleyes.gif
