Ok, I grew up watching Bugs and the gang on TV and still love watching their shenanigans but Cartoon Network just launched a new incarnation of Bugs and the gang and the writing just SUCKS!!

Damn, it is so bad, it is nauseating. Has anyone else caught this new run on CARTOON NETWORK, what do you think???

I caught a glimpse of this horrible show while I was babysitting my niece last week. What to say? It just...sucks! But then again, a lot of kid's television today sucks.

    A classic clip from 1946

I remember being super little and wearing footie pajamas and watching Looney Toons and having ice cream before going to bed at like 8:00. Man those were the days...

Not a fan of the new Bugs. Is it me, or does the new Bugs have more of a Gone-with-the-Wind Southern accent rather than a Brooklyn accent like he's supposed to have?

Leave well enough alone! Classic Bugs will forever remain in my childhood memories.

I don't know about the current Bugs. Is it for kids? All cliches and political correctness? There's a reason those old Merrie Melodies and Looney Tunes are enduring: they were made for adults, back in the day when you went to the movies and saw news reels, "short subjects," an episode of an on going serial, two cartoones and the previews for coming attractions all before the movie started. It was a different world, boys.

Good times... As a child, I woke up many Saturday's well before 6am in giddy anticipation of the morning medleys.

It's just not the same having access to them all at once. Kind of like sugar.

I remember the cartoons at 6am sucked. It killed me to wait until Looney Tunes came on at 8am. I was partial, I say, partial to Foghorn Leghorn, see?

I knew the new show was a different game when I saw a clip where
Bugs and Daffy were on a game show and Bugs had to guess Daffy's
middle name. To which Monsieur Duck replied, "It's Armando."
    .....Armando?! ARMANDO?!!
It's DUMAS ya dope!! You'd think they'd know their history before trying
to update the show. Sheesh!! The new show is total crapola if ya ask me.

I'm staying in a hotel with just a few channels while I'm looking for an apartment and yes I saw the Looney Tunes show on the Cartoon Network. The show was bad. They all live in the city now or something.icon_evil.gif

It's not nearly as good as the old ones, but it's better than some other crap on CN.

hahaha i just watched all of the above clips. all were awesome icon_smile.gif road runner was my favorite! meep meep icon_smile.gif

the thing i dont get is i grew up watching these in the 80s/90s, and they had been made decades earlier. so if they were good for us, why did they have to go and create some shit version for kids now?

whatever the reason... watching these reminded me of one of my first games for NES. come to think of it, i still dont think i ever got around to beating it...

I loved Gossamer's face when Bugs finished his hair. He was so happy about it!
