Holy shit! I did! My Mom bought me barbie to make me gay but I dissected her. I could never do that to GI Joe he had nice biceps. I've always felt a form of security and comfort from the male idea and form but I have never felt curious about the female body.

Yeah George is pretty hot. icon_cool.gif

Love that video. It still doesn't cover the annoying "Well you don't choose to be gay, but acting on homosexuality is still a choice!" statement that I hear a lot, but it's still an awesome video nonetheless.

It says "higher probability." This does NOT mean that it's 100% guaranteed. I'm the 3rd boy (out of 4) in my family, but my younger brother is not attracted to guys.

Yeah, which is a bit unusual. Even then our culture does not take into account the Kinsey scale. Look at Rome or Greece. Even Ancient China has tales of gay heros and one in Japan where the sister was cold to the hero so he took her brother whom he he found more attractive.

Lol I have to disagree. I'm the first born and I knew something was wrong with me when I was only 3, still in kindergarden. I had a huge crush on this handsome teacher lol so yea, I agree homosexuality is not a choice, it's in fact encoded in your genes and you just have to embrace it. Im comfortable in my own skin icon_smile.gif

Anybody been reading Dan Savage lately? He has a dare out to the "It's a choice." crowd that if it is a choice they can make the choice to suck his dick.

This was a very informative video. I think its easy to push the responsibility on being born that way. We fail to take responsibility that every feeling, concious decisions is infact a choice. Yes, genetics and environment has a lot to do with shaping who we decide to become. Its like that saying, "you are where you are today due to choices you have made 2 years ago." Therefore, you can choose to take responsibility for the choices you make or denie them. Either way, it still is a choice.

theantijock saidI like most of the video, but unless the one point at 2:31 is that there might be numerous contributory reasons (as if we need a reason), showing the complexity of sexual orientation, it seems otherwise inconsist to claim antigens&bodies as causing homosexuality because that does not equally explain lesbians.

They may not have the same cause. There are also different numbers of female than of male homosexuals. The Mother's body feminizing the fetus is an interesting hypothesis and I look forward to seeing it turned into an experiment, quasi or true.

If you mean free will by choice and not simply the outcome of a decision than you deny a causal universe. If the human mind is not part of a causal universe than it can not be manipulated. If it can not be manipulated; ie no dependent or independent variables can be relevant, than there is no way to study it. In conclusion there is no way to scientifically discover/construct knowledge around the subject matter of psychology or cog nuero sciences. Humanism is a tricky discussion but if you are solid on existence precedes essence leads to free self creation than I recommend you compare it to the automaton theory. Consider the case of Phineas Gauge or David Reimer.

i love how the gay guy remains quiet for most of it while the lesbian does the talking (maybe sort of a jab at how things are in real life for the most part?)
