    hey jocks,

I just recently cleaned out my gym bag that was packed tight with alot of junk. now I just got the essentials. The top things in my bag are.

    1. Quick dry sleeveless shirt, socks, workout gloves and shorts with inner compression tights. Shorts must have pockets.

    2. One combination lock.

    3. Polar heart rate monitor. It keeps you focus on how high your heart rate should be while working out.

    4. 2 mirco-dry towel. Also a sham-wow works as a great shower towel.

    5. A mini groom kit with Shampoo, toothbrush, deodorant, facewash, gel soap and razor. I like to do all my grooming before I leave the gym.

    6. a plastic bag for my sweaty clothes.

All these items makes a pretty light gym bag. i usually wear my gym shoes going there. What do you put in your bag when headed to the gym?

Water bottle, headphones, shorts, compression shorts, beater, socks, undies, shoes, workout gloves, body wash and a bottle of lotion sums up what's in mine pretty much every day.

    What no moisturizer...!

Gym bag consists, 3 t-shirts, 2 pairs shorts with pockets, 2 pairs lycra undershorts, gloves, jock strap (if running), pound coins for lockers, pen, workout paperwork, log cards for concept2 rowers, gym card, moisturizer, shower gel, paul mitchell shampoo, antiperspirant, hair gel (for when its too long!), razor, shaving foam, cockstrap (depends where going after!), large towel, gym towel, trainers, power bars (for long rows), water bottle, polar strap and heart rate watch (Puma) - yes it's a workout just carrying it all!

I go to the gym in the morning before work (like 5.30-5.45) and am wearing what I'll be working out in - sneaks, shorts (trackies over the shorts) and tee with my dress shirt and suit jacket over that (hey! its a look! lol). The bag has the suit pants (hung up the minute I get there) undershirt, undies, socks, shoes, belt and tie clothes wise. Then there's also the following bits and bobs in the bag:

    1. Two towels - one for the floor/machines and one for the shower

    2. Combination lock

    3. Dop kit - deodorant, tooth brush, tooth paste, shower gel, shampoo, "product" (for when hair is not buzzed), brush, lotion, aspirin, razor, shaving foam, aftershave

    4. Couple of giant ziplock freezer bags for the sweaty gear post-workout

    5. Notebook to keep track of progress

    6. Water bottle

OK I'll give a serious answer.

    1. An empty, dry water bottle, with glutamine powders inside. This serves as emergency anti-catabolic savior. Especially during long grueling workouts.
    2. Gym clothes. With extra pair of socks and briefs.
    3. Lock
    4. A tube of new-whey.
    5. Money.
    6. Moisturizers...(winter only)
    7. My current gym doesn't have a pool but back then, I used to put swimming trunks in my gym bag too.

    *serious answer ends.*

I can't believe no one mentioned dildos yet! What kind of homo are you people? Bad ones apparently.

well, in my locker i keep my deodorant, shampoo and conditioner, soap-fluffy puff thing, cycling shoes, spare boxers, spare socks, spare v-neck workout shirt, workout shoes, wrist sweat band, hand towel, and spare shower towel. so the only things i bring with me are clean clothes and a protein shake.

    - combination lock
    - 2 towels (1 to sit on in the steam room, the other for drying after the shower)
    - shower flip-flops
    - deodorant, covered soap dish with soap bar, small shampoo bottle, comb
    - workout clothes: socks, jock, shorts, T-shirt, athletic shoes (unless I wore them there)
    - bicycle water bottle
    - fresh underwear for after my shower

All this because my current gym has daily-use lockers only, without towel service. Other places I've used made it easier, with towel service, locks, permanently assigned lockers I kept toiletries in at all times, and a supply of fresh underwear and street socks. Even laundry service, where I could drop off my gym clothes when I left, and pick up fresh when I came back. So I really didn't need any kind of bag at all, unless I was taking a wet swim suit home with me when I used the pool, or bringing some other dirty clothes home every few visits.
