RJ Trolls: Analysis

This is an analysis of how these trolls are successful and what YOU can do to stop their threads from erupting like vaginas do on the monthly. Since I'm not going to call anyone by name, I'm going to do the best I can to get the picture across.

    acer_ac_adapter_4.74a.jpg

This troll is effective because he turns people against each other. Many will support him because they pity him, or because they don't have it in them to be mean to anyone except those with whom they disagree. Those who will oppose him will call him out on his trolling and tell him to GTFO, as well as make fun of him. Seeing this "victim" (really a troll) being made fun of, the white knights jump to protect their vulnerable emo child, and the clash begins.

How to stop this troll: Convince the three or so too-nice exhibit Cs (see the Encyclopedia Dramatica article) to avoid feeding the troll. Once everyone is opposed to it, it will leave since it can't create the conflict it openly revels in.

    Bellowing_Tanglewurm.jpg

This troll has had many incarnations on here, with different faces and most importantly, different bodies. Tons of different bodies. Aside from jacking pictures, this troll starts flame wars by individually harassing members on the forums, then acting flippant when they try to argue. Its posts are repetitive, grating, and inane, always in gargantuan rainbow font.

This troll is also known for making numerous sock accounts and creating attention-seeking threads with those, however, they often get called out by more inquisitive members. Somehow, he is able to get all his sock accounts verified, likely via Photoshopped sign photos. When a sock account gets exposed, this troll is known to fire it off in a fit of rage, spamming the forums a la the next guy.

How to stop this troll: "Ignore his posts."

I shrank the video because no one really wants to watch it again. This troll creates all-caps threads with TL;DR titles and spams inboxes to oblivion with pseudo-creepy YouTube videos. At first, it was effective because it was strange/unpredictable and it "hacked" an account. Then it changed up its tactics and dropped private pictures everywhere, but its tireless flooding and insane ramblings about the day of judgment made it impossible to take seriously. Now, it's effective because its spamming disrupts discussion and its targeted harassment causes people to consider leaving the forum community.

How to stop this troll: Don't have private photos (or individually re-upload them), and use the "Report Spam" button.

Has anyone else noticed that when one troll starts a flame war, the others are conspicuously absent?

For more: See the RJ article on Encyclopedia Dramatica.

Misogynism is such an ugly trait. You can do better than that.

    As for trolls:
    Never, ever feed them.
Or as the Austrians would say: Don't even ignore them (sic)

May I ask why you guys dislike FearTheFall? He really isn't mean to anyone except people (trolls) that like to ruffle some feathers in the threads.

He's quite illogical in some of his postings and tends to rub some people the wrong way when doing so. Also, he's a republican and pushes his beliefs too far a bit so I've heard.
He's like Jake in the sense that he just doesn't give two flying fucks.
While I have gone toe to toe with him on some of his thoughts, I think he just likes acting a certain way within the forums to spark controversy.
Sometimes he can be a total ass and ridiculously hypocritical.
Other times he's an all right guy.

FearTheFall has simmered down somewhat. But he was best known for exhibiting trollish behavior himself. And for spewing bigoted remarks. This was even done while he was seeking advice from us about how to handle his troubled relationship with his parents. Hard to feel sorry for a guy whose aim in the forum was to be a nuisance and display hate.

Bigoted? You mean opposed to a belief system that promotes violence against those who don't believe in it, as well as institutionalized oppression of pretty much everyone? I'd say opposition to such uncivilized, inhumane beliefs is a good thing.

When you generalize, yes, it makes you a bigot making those remarks. Not all of them believe in the promotion of violence and oppression.

Their HOLY BOOK, unlike the New Testament, espouses it, and all other major religions have become modernized in terms of humane treatment of groups. Christianity has made massive strides toward accepting gays while Islam is still hanging them. Honor killings still happen, even among immigrant Muslims.

No, but the religion itself argues for violence. If the religion itself were to change, I would not have the negative sentiments I have toward it. By supporting Islam in its present form, you are supporting violence and the oppression of women and homosexuals. Islam NEEDS to modernize. Some, mainly outside the Middle East, are helping move it forward, albeit slowly. However, it has a LOT of catching up to do.

I do agree that there is an issue regarding a prohibitive and violent culture in same areas of the world under the religion of Islam. But that does not mean those problems speak for all of Islam where there is clear evidence, which you agree with, that not all Muslims support that kind of behavior.

It's not the religion that is the problem. It's the specific people. They are just using religion as a tool.

As a tool? Yes and no. It is their motive, what they have been indoctrinated to believe. The government uses it as a tool to instill fear and vitriol, but the draw to violence comes from the religion itself.

But religion has always been a tool. No matter what the belief is. They may claim it comes from the Quran, but it really comes from mankind's most primitive desires that are suppressed. We can easily fall back into that state of religious-based intolerance and violence.

You said yourself that not all Muslims are in favor of violence. So what does that say about them and the Islamic faith they believe in. By the way, I don't want to stay on this topic in this thread since it really doesn't belong. I'll let you have the final word if you respond.

The Quran is their motive for engaging in violence. If, say, they were Taoist instead, their religion would not permit such cruel behavior, and the vast majority who currently take Ke$ha's "Blow" to heart would not.

Same here. Often times I want to strangle him and then I catch myself giving him and imaginary high five ( I am not a high five kind of guy). I think he is someone with whom I could have a very challenging one on one conversation.
    Although...you cruise, you lose.

Am I the only one who enjoys FeartheFall's presence?

And I must ask how people can defend AC's trolling saying the man clearly has issues and then victimize FeartheFall when he clearly has issues as well.

Man, RealJock has turned into some sick twisted world...

What's wrong with FTF? Looks pretty cute and sweet to me. Did he say something offensive? Except maybe that exhibited D stuff. I thought he was joking tho. Wait I think I get it. Is it because he's against old people? The young ones can care less, but the old ones start going apeshit on FTF.

Im ma totolie gezzing so dew knot flaim ma arse-ho.
