I read a lot of general news. But when it comes to Opinion writing, I start with Politico.com which is assertively Non-Partisan.

But for a good site to learn of political mischief of the Republicans, I like TalkingPointsMemo.com. To their credit they haven't neglected a single scandal by Democrats either. TPM not only exposes the Republican intent to serve only a very narrow interest group........but they work to expose Democrats who aren't serving the public.

I don't know of a single Conservative site that is as balanced and yet clearly working for Progressive/Liberal causes.

I like Politifact (denounced by conservatives as a liberal site but actually neutral).

The Economist is fiscally conservative but liberal in almost all other things (including science and morals).

So Politifact drives the Conservatives crazy. If you read the comments on Politico.com you'll see just how easy it is to drive the Cons crazy.

It becomes comical when the Politico article is a full scale attack on a Democrat.......yet the Con commenters protest the 'softness' toward the Dems.

And God forbid any questioning of Sarah Palin !

How so? We "cons" aren't quite as reactionary as you lefties so we don't go particularly hysterical when we read something we disagree with. We leave the drama -- to the drama queens and no better place than a gay site for plenty of those folks.

Maybe if you want to ask a two part question like you did, it would be best to keep your personal left wing bias out of it unless an argument is what you’re looking for. Should that be the case, you came shopping at the right place with me.

Why? You're the only one on this forum who voted FOR prop 8!
Talk about your 'right wing bias' or is it just 'asininity'?

Given your obvious intent, why should conservatives participate in your thread questioning conservatives? Encourage conservatives to not participate.

And given what a leftist lovin' piece of crap that YOU are, it’s really hypocritical that you would even use the word "FAGGOT' even toward me. You should be ashamed of yourself you lying hypocrite.

And JUST for lying, hateful, hateful, hysterical, intolerant hypocrites like you, I’d vote for it again - just for you sweetheart.

    Well OldGeezer,
"And JUST for lying, hateful, hateful, hysterical, intolerant hypocrites like you, I’d vote for it again."

This is exactly what's wrong with both sides of the equation. There are people like you in opposing camps that will hurt everyone just to get at a few.

I see little or no integrity in that.

Sorry, that doesn't fly. Prop 8 hurt a lot of people you've never met, or ever seen on here. You're putting hatred above common sense.

Interestingly, the left as you call them say the same thing, but they didn't vote no on prop 8 just to get the goats of those they don't like. They voted no for the sake of equality.

I'm addressing your reason for voting yes on prop 8; you are now sidestepping.

    I’m not sidestepping shit.

Try putting their hate and intolerance away or fuck their perceived equality.

And besides, what does this thread-jack by Tropical Margaret have to with progressive 'liberal' reading material?

So Tropical Margaret, why is it that you insist on showing your hate on these forums by name calling, such as using the term FAGGOT to disparage someone? That is SO not nice. According to you that would be pretty offensive so why do you do it sweetheart? Is that self loathing showing again? Did you get ass raped one too many times in the army? Some really big boi mount your ass and fuck you good? What is it sweetheart? You can tell me. Shhhhh - you know I’ll keep your secret.

You know, Oldgeezer, voting against a piece of legislation that offered you and others that deserve it a legal right and then being all in a flap over someone saying faggot looks a little lame. You helped hurt a whole lot of innocent people just to get the ones among them that you don't like.
