This is my first post, and I'm new to the forum. As far as my spiritual growth, these teachings has help me grow a lot in accepting the who and what I am, and the heck with what anyone else says. Always remember:
Better to be hated being what you are, then loved being what you are not.

Thank you Award8 for this post and I enjoyed it very much. I assume, the vortex that the speaker is referring to is mankind's connection to the Godhead. I am correct? I enjoy studying metaphysics and it has helped me greatly in understanding who I am and my connection with the Divine. I would like to further elaborate that the purpose, in addition to joy, is life, power, understanding, knowledge, wisdom and love -- the higher values, so to speak. Our thoughts can literally transform us to the golden souls that God wants us to be. I think of Jesus' first miracle when he changed water into wine-- thus such a transformation is possible with higher consiousness. The vortex?

This is something that need not be complicated or above anyone's comprehension. Children intuitively demonstrate such a connection with the Divine. So the purpose with being gay as with anyone else is simply TO BE, the union with God.

The speaker talks about those who want to reinvent or homogenize us to be more acceptable in their minds, in other words, creating us in their image. Why mankind continues to do this with gays or anyone else continues to mystify me. I think it burns up prejudiced or bigoted people that many of us are talented, intelligent, caring, creative, and loving -- and yes, spiritual with a connection to God.

    Peace be with you, brother.

    Vincent7 -

You've hit every mark, and I can feel that you're certainly there. I feel that once the gay community accepts their greater contribution to the globe, the lesser problems we will encounter. There's another vid where she speaks of how we are all creators of our reality. I know this is a large pill for many to swallow, because it's better to point to the problem, then allowing the solution that's within us all.

When I first came across these teachings, I did struggle with some of the premises because I was trying to wrap my mind around the concepts. Once I applied some of the processes is when I started experiencing better conscious realities. Certainly I think videos like this will be of benefit to the young gay kids struggling with their sexuality, and for the mature ones too that are still holding on to guilt and shame and feelings of dis-ease. Hence the reason we are struggling with another dis-ease that many don't want to let go of.

The mind (thoughts) are powerful, and it's when I got hold of my own thoughts is when the results became sweetericon_biggrin.gif

The vortex - as the speaker says - is also that good feeling place, and where everything we've been asking for resides. And all we have to do is align up with it as much as we can (the GOD head) to begin to experience the results of our desires/wants. Also to accept that we may not be in the vortex all the time because it's the contrast that helps us know what it is that we do want. Once we know what we want, is when we get into the vortex (and that can be chilling out) and let the magic begin.

Glad you appreciated the vids. I will post more.

If sexuality is not a chosen characteristic, like hair colour and eye colour, then there is no purpose to it any more than there is a purpose for my hair being brown. Or, for that matter, there is no purpose to someone being straight.

You prolly wont like what I say about this, since its so opposite what most people report

When I started getting into these things in-depth as these people talk about... I actually experienced a reverse of what most ppl said would happen... when I started to apply some of these philosophies, my life got worse, kept getting worse until finaly I wound up depressed and with an anxiety disorder.... and Ive heard this happened to a few more people I know

When i completely dropped all these spiritual philosophies, my life did actually get better.. I think they just distracted me from being me, instead of actually being me... difference between being and thinking about being perhaps...

Im actually alot better now, without any spiritual philosphies...Life is just as hard as it was before, and challenges just as hard or constantly harder, but I dont mind them anymore

Conversely, Ive seen the opposite happen to so many people around me... as they got in touch with spiritual philosophies, their lives and peace of mind imrpoved drastically.. I am amazed with some of the results I have seen... guess it just wasnt my path....

Greenhopper, what were you studying that made such a negative impact on your life? One has to be careful, because there is a lot of misinformation and charlatans out there. Truth is truth, and God is will never lead you to a life of misery, darkness, and dispair. I guess the bottom line is, if you are happy now and your life has taken on a better tone, then you have made the connection. Blessings be with you!

This is an elegant post. How refreshing to see gay men discussing matters that have more far reaching consequences than merely carnal or physical dimensions of thought. For me personally, I was 'taught' that it was wrong for me to be gay. As a man now who has searched for Truth through so many channels, I feel fortunate to have found Yoga (or Yoga found me) about seven years ago and it taught me that there really is a connection between the body, the Mind and the Spirit. The more alligned and balanced this connection is, the more Life and Wellness seem to flow around and through my life, effortlessly. Life is good. Happy Friday. icon_smile.gif
