Unreal! So not only did he wait until there was absolute proof he did it with nowhere to turn but confession, but then he LIES during his confession.

This guy is looking more and more genuine by the minute!

southbeach1500 saidThis is not looking good if you're a Weiner.

    From the article:

What’s more, the blonde woman has revealed details that show the liberal congressman lied during his tear-jerking confession Monday at a press conference in New York and that he DID use government resources for his extra-marital activities.

IF you had watched the press conference like I did I came away with the fact that he did - he said "I dont believe - I dont have rememberance of every contact - but I dont believe that Idid" sounds like there was some use of govt issued property. When I heard that, I said most probably.

Of course there was use of government resources. This guy is going down in flames...probably before the week is over. Wouldn't be surprised if he resigns within 48 hours.

Only if Madame former Speaker Pelosi forces him to.

He can always get a job with Calvin Klein.

Not to minimize what Anthony Weiner did --- mostly his attitude and brash behavior during the cover-up is what I found offensive --- but you have to give the guy credit for what he did today. I watched the whole press conference and at times it was actually hard to watch. But I give Weiner credit for facing the press, owning up to the whole thing, and just laying it all out there. I can't even begin to imagine how humiliating this must have been. He held up pretty well considering some of the frank questions he faced. The whole thing is just very sad. It's the ultimate definition of someone literally being caught with their pants down. Just shows you how one lapse of judgement can drastically alter someone's life in an instant. Everything from his career to his marriage could crumble over this.

    Two lapses of judgement.

    1) Sending sexually explicit pictures to people on the internet when you have no idea if the person receiving the pics are a minor or not.

    2) Lying about it.

I'm sure there are many of us right here at RJ who, under similar circumstances, might have been guilty or capable of the same kind of lapse of judgement. Humans are flawed. We do stupid things sometimes. I know I have.
