Oh, well then so much for caring for other people. You might as well not pay taxes for roads that I'M going to be driving on or pay taxes for libraries that I'M going to be going to or pay taxes for jail cells that I'M going to get butt raped in. I see how it is. You just want things for you and don't really care about the society you live in. How hipster.

If I made more money I'd be down to throw more money at health care for everyone. But you know, not everyone is benevolent and everyone's free to be a selfish greedy douche bag who prefers to spend money on lavish superficial crap. I mean, if I was dumb, young, hot and had no morals that's exactly what I'd be doing.

I really wish it was this simple. And I have been paying for insurance for 6 years now. The system is totally flawed though. I've had a dermatology problem for almost two years now and dermatologist after dermatologist, EIGHT now, haven't listened to me, run expensive tests, and came up with the results as "i don't know what it is but let's run that $200 test again!" I'd be nice to see doctors and not worry about forking over thousands of dollars to get nothing fixed. It's just aggravating and I feel so hopeless that I PAY money and NOTHING happens. I don't feel like I need to pay into a system that doesn't work. I'd rather it be free if it's broken lol.

No we don't feel the same way. I'm down to pay money for poor people if it works for them. But I'm not down to put money into a system that doesn't work for me at the same time. Two separate ideas. I'd prefer to pay money for a system that works FOR EVERYONE.

So now I don't feel like an asshole. That's because you're an asshole, you fucking asshole. icon_biggrin.gif

Yah no if you don't think it's appropriate to spend money that you earn then DON'T PAY YOUR FUCKING TAXES. Sounds like you just want to keep money.

Anyway, one day when you catch the super-fun best-friend AIDS virus you'll change your mind about universal healthcare. Until then, enjoy being myopic and narrow-minded. I'm done chatting with you Arizonatroll.

Oh and I already pay enough in taxes for people like you that depend on other people and the government for everything. So you just stay in NYC and pay upwards of 40 to 50 percent of your income to the fed and state. Enjoy yourself.

"Pg 241 Line 6-8 HC Bill – Doctors – doesn’t matter what specialty – will all be paid the same. Really? That’s an incentive to enter medicine."

In Palm Springs, I have TWO medical doctors (one is a specialist) and one dentist who are all expats from Canada.... the ONLY reason they left Canada is because of salary limits in Canada.
...well, maybe for the golf....

Dentists are not part of Canada's Universal healthcare system. icon_wink.gif

As for doctor's we have a top notch Oncologist in the family who returned from the US because he couldn't stand healthcare being available based on the size of your wallet.

Here's US earnings for specialists:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Specialty_(medicine)

In Canada a regular physician's annual earnings WERE capped at about 450 thousand, and this is not a specialist, who can make considerably more. Those caps no longer exist and a specialist can make (and many do) 700K a year.

Now, their taxes on that income are very high (over 55%) but guess what happens if they incorporate? icon_wink.gif
