Weights or No weights

    Can your body tone itself by doing cardio type building exercises or is it better to use weights

    Must...use...weights.
    Muscles are built by tearing the fibers and letting them heal.
    If you don't pick things up and put them down a lot, your fibers won't get torn.

    You can get tone but not bulk by doing bodyweight exercises and things like pilates, dance, etc.

    You don't need weights but Cardio is not gonna get you ripped.

    Old school pushups, sit ups, pulls ups, hand stand inverted presses, bridging, jump rope, planks etc will get you lean and muscly.
