http://www2.americanprogress.org/p/dia/action/public/?action_KEY=141Iowa State Senator Shawn Hamerlinck (R – District 42) condescendingly dismissed five student government leaders from a budget hearing on Monday, telling them to "go home" when they showed up to testify at the hearing on the impact of proposed education budget cuts.

Yup, only invited lobbyists are allowed backstage in the political theater.

wiki on HamerlinckThe right to petition government is protected by the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States. All student leaders testifying on 6 June 2011 were of majority age and citizens of Iowa and the United States.

Really? I thought he very politely but sternly said, as to kids: Go away and play. Leave the adults to deal with business matters.

Republicans? Adults? Yeah, they have a great track record. They want a dumbed down electorate. It's the only way people will buy their asinine policies.

A Republican in action. Their acts betray them for who they are. Send away anyone who disagrees with them, only admit those who concur. And who make big campaign contributions (aka bribes).
