Man I can't believe its going to rain all weekend. All week I wanted to go swimming but was stuck at work.

So anyone have any suggestions on weekend fun on long island or nearby that is fun and were I might have the chance to meet some nice guys.

I am sick of this post college boredom that comes with working all day and having much less contact with people your own age. So any suggestions on rainy day fun, since the beach isn't an option this weekend. I really am sick of the same routine and wanna meet some people and do something exciting or active.

I was thinking rock climbing or taking a martial arts class would b fun, but I am looking to meet some people too, and those don't seem like the most social activities.

I am not really a club person and I was not looking for a hookup, tho if it happens I won't b too mad lol. I just need social interaction that isn't just sex or dealing with coworkers. Suggestions r definitely appreciated.

Here's a gay social site for Noo Yawkas. You can Google more of them. Not only might you have fun at some of these things, but you could succeed in beginning the gay networking process that will snowball into a social calendar for yourself that will keep you busy every weekend, rain or shine.

Thanks, ill make sure to check it out when I get home from work. Yeah my social life took a nosedive after I moved back home after college and spent months job hunting while living with my parents and being forced back into the closet.

But now I'm working and things r looking up so I'm looking to have a social life again.

Is that website nyc or does it include long island too?

UGH I know what you mean! At least your coworkers talk to you though, I work in an almost empty building and even the people that are here are all hermits! I need to talk to someone sometime to get myself out of my head!

Lol well it still isn't fun talkin to 50 year old women about their cats. Then I tell them how my cat decapitates mice and leaves them as gifts for me in a bloody pile and they freak out lol.

Today I am listening to my coworker singing loud and horribly and in Spanish, uhg.

Can't wait to get out of here and head to the gym. Even squats are better than this

I put your city and somethings things came up, but not sure of your location and how close you are to them, but I would check them out.
