It amazes me how many guys go to a theater to see a movie, then bitch about how terrible it was. How in the world did they think it was going to be acceptable, or mildly entertaining, much less good ?

HELLO. The star is Jennifer Aniston (or any number of other less than "B" actors).

When, I see movie trailers, it's invariably, one stinker after another.

Where are the GREAT actors, directors, screenplay writers ?

Are you the type of person who will go to see almost anything, hoping that it might be good ?

Are you the type who waits for the reviews to come in before going to see a popular film ?

Are you the type who almost never goes to the movies, preferring to wait until they come out on DVD, in a few months ?

I haven't been to the movies in years. The movie-going experience has been poisoned by ridiculously high ticket prices, obnoxious people in the audience, and most importantly.. mediocre movies. Besides, large screen TV sets and Blu-Ray players are getting cheaper. Seems pointless to go to the theaters now. I'd much rather invite a bunch of friends over for movie night.

tell that to movie theatre-addict me. sir, there's no comparison between however big TV and a movie theatre screen and sound system. Plus I just love watching movies uninterrupted (no additional lights, sounds, friends talking). I agree on the ticket prices! I pay 18$ for a 3D, IMAX movie on a weekend night. Now I just try to wake up early and watch pre-matinee shows that costs between 6-8$

Webster666, I always watch movies after thorough research on rottontomatoes and other miscellaneous websites. I go to the theatre 1 hour early to get a seat in the second row from the last with exact number of seats on either sides. It has to be right in the centre!

You guessed it right, my friends hate me.

And yeah, most movies suck. Loved Black Swan and King's Speech so far this year!

Please tell me I am not crazy?

I never go to the movies. I only went to see one movie last year and it was Black Swan, totally worthwhile. This year I havent gone yet and I probably wont go considering the outlook of what's coming out in 2011.

Not to be a snob or anything but I have never considered going to the movies a kind of thing that I'm into... I mean, have you seen the types of movies that are out there, they're either: comic book superhero movies (enough with those), sequels (my biggest pet peeve), or stupid comedies (make my brain cells die). Mainstream Hollywood loves to feed America shit and America pays over $10 a ticket to eat that crap up.

well, one no longer visits the local kinema if one can avoid it because the masses are so hideous . . . their mindless and incessant chatter that they use to block the void, their cellphone glare, their egregious tattoos, etc. . . .

as for Jennifer Aniston, there is no excuse or explanation

People need to rent The Good Girl or Friends With Money and maybe they'll re--evaluate Jennifer Aniston's skills. Yeah, she makes C+ romantic comedies pretty often, but the girl's gotta eat. She is quite capable when given the opportunity.

I thought she was pretty good in Office Space. And yeah, I agree.. her abilities are kinda limited to romance comedies.

I love going to the movies. Reviews don't phase me too much, though a good one will get me more excited to see something I already planned to see.

I go somewhat often, twice a month maybe.

The last three movies I saw were X-Men: First Class (Fassbender), Bridesmaids, and Jane Eyre (Fassbender).

I go to the movies only a few times a year. The last movie I saw in the a theater was Bridesmaids (awesome!). But like others have said, ticket prices are a huge turn off, especially the rip off on 3D. Plus it seems I always have to pee whenever I go to the movies (without having a drink!), so I ended up missing many chunks of the movie! I rather have the luxury of pressing "pause" on my remote so I can go pee without a rush!

I'm the type of person who will see just about any type of movie. If I'm excited about a movie after seeing the trailer, I will go see it no matter what the critics say.

I usually see a movie once maybe twice every weekend. I just love seeing a movie in a theater

I go to the movies based on the actors in it and also reading the reviews.

When I say the actors, I mean only a select few.

I usually only go to movies from comic books or slick sci fi movies. I know I'll be entertained no matter what. I did go see Hangover 2. Otherwise, I'll just wait for the DVDs.

I cannot wait for: Green Lantern and Captain America. Thor and Xmen First Class were awesome. I saw Thor twice, and plan on seeing XMen again before it exits theatres.

I have an unlimited pass to the movies. So I can go whenever I want. I sometimes go and when the movie sucks, I just walk out.
Last thursday Insidious was released. I went to see it and it was some freaky movie dang.. def recommend icon_twisted.gif
