    Hey guys,
So there is this movie I once saw, I think it is French, where a gay man falls in love with his friend's father.
There is a scene where the friend and the father are in the car, the young man kisses his friend's father who kisses him back and then leaves the car.

I searched a lot but can't find it.

So if anyone knows the name of this movie, please share it.

Also, do you know other movies where a man discovers his homosexuality later in life / after getting married and fathering kids?

I'm not sure if Sunday Bloody Sunday fits the bill exactly, but it's about a love triangle between a young bisexual man, an older woman and an older man. I can't remember if the film addressed the question of when in life the older man discovered his sexuality, though. At any rate, it's a pioneering film.

There's a 1982 movie called "Making Love" starring Kate Jackson, and more recently "Far From Heaven" starring Julianna Moore and Dennis Quaid. The latter is not what I'd call an uplifting film though.

Check out a movie titled "Mulligans". It's about a father who has an unplanned summer fling with his son's college-aged, best friend who happens to be gay and how their affair affects everyone around them. Decent flick, with some hot actors. You can find it on LOGO.

There is a new movie out with Christopher Plummer and Ewan McGregor. Christopher plays Ewans father and he comes out later in life. It is supposed to be an excellent movie.

There's a brand-new movie out called "Beginners" about a man (played by Christopher Plummer) who comes out at 75, after his wife dies. His son is played by Ewan McGregor.

In the movie "American Beauty" there's the scene where the homophobic father next door ends up kissing Kevin Spacey.

Mulligans was a pretty good flick. The dad was a total hottie. Logo does tend to recycle the same actors over and over though, would love to see a little more variety.

I was just about to mention it. I recently read the book. It was written by an American and set in New York. Why was the adaption British?

Love And Death On Long Island is a cautionary tale of lifelong denial, finally manifesting in an inappropriate crush, on a very young straight guy. It's creepy in parts, sympathetic in others. Ebert and I give it 4 stars. I don't like the typical gay dramas either.

Top notch actors here too. Popular author John Hurt falls for teen idol, and neighbor, Jason Priestly, in the Hamptons.

    samurai111,
    Is this your film?

    David's Birthday
    (Il Compleanno)
    2009 NR 104 minutes

While vacationing in an Italian summer home, happily married Matteo (Massimo Poggio) is surprised to find himself attracted to his best friend's underwear-model son, David (real-life model Thyago Alves). But the plot thickens when David appears to share Matteo's lust. Although she can't quite put a finger on the problem, Matteo's wife (Maria de Medeiros) senses something's happened to their relationship.
