What's with all the psychos online!

Before I go into a rant about how Denver seems to have an abnormally large population of weirdos than anywhere else I've lived (like the guy I witnessed who walked out in traffic and killed himself the other day), I just want to check with my fellow RealJockers to see if it's a trend everywhere.

3 guys in a row that I have met online from adam4adam have turned out to be absolute nuts! I met with a guy today who although he seemed sweet and was somewhat attractive with the exception he could gain about 20 pounds...turned out to not be wrapped so tight.

I don't have time to really explain all the scenarios but these guys I've been meeting have been like crazy. Like I can tell right off the bat if someone is a bit nutty because I actually have an autistic brother (sometimes I wonder if I'm flying off the handle myself LOL)...but the behavior I'm noticing is a bit more subtle.

I met up with a guy the other night and I show up and he has a Black eye and is covered with bruises. I'm like, what the fuck happened to you? He laughs and says he got into a fight. I just stared in disbelief. Then he starts having all these schizophrenic behaviors that just freak me the fuck out. One minute he wants love the next minute he ignores me. I actually met him off of connexion!

Is the internet hookup sites specifically for nutters nowadays? Seems the only decent sites are wealthymen.com and other sites that cater to upper class citzens and sugar dads.

LOL...well I only met 1 guy from RJ, but the other guy who I tried to meet ended up being a bit nuts himself. Making it out like he wanted to meet but then flaked.

Which brings me to another story. Just this week, guy texting me to death says, "I want to spend the rest of my life with you". And we haven't even met yet!

Day comes around to meet, no text...no call. Nothing. And he's not dead cause I caught him looking at my profile this morning. Ay yi yi, ay caramba! esto es loco

Subconsciously, we all have psychological issues. However, some people are worse than other. That is where you need to get away. Guy could have bipolar too, and that is the worse person you want to hang out.

I'm thinking you need a better screening process. Perhaps no meeting until we've chatted a minimum of four times (different days) first. You need to weed out some of the psychos or find some new 'ponds' to fish in. I think the mercury level might be a little high in the A4A pond! LOL

I could sooo make a comment that could be construed as snarky.. LOL

Seriously, my suggestion is that you take some time and donate some time to a gay charity or a gay friendly cause that would help build a circle of friends... meet potential guys through friends, much better than meeting
"black eyed dudes" that don't seem to meet up to standards.

I've read your comments about Denver. As I mentioned, my partner lived in Denver for 8 years before he and I hooked up and I've seen the place. I think the only way for you to be happy is to get involved in the community and take it seriously. Otherwise, you will be forever "throwing tomatoes" at the Denver scene, convinced it doesn't meet your standards. The bottom line is happiness and feeling you are living a rewarding life. If you aren't willing to make an effort in Denver, then move someplace that you will.

I have a separate account for local hook ups in KHI..However a vast majority are not up to nuffs as all.

But I'm sure Denever has real jems out there.

after a while you will automatically detect them...like you ask a couple questions and you see they are nuts and you stop replying and up to the next one

heybreaux saidWell, if it makes you feel better... here they jump in front of trains pretty regularly and out of buildings at times, though less of that. Just YouTube "crazy people on the subway" -- You are not alone. LOL

I was in the Hamptons all weekend.
When I got back, the first thing I see after I get out of the car is a woman standing on the corner screaming at the top of her lungs for no apparent reason over and over...

    "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
    AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
    AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
    AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
    AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
    AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
    AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
    AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
    AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH," she said.

My A4A extremes...pretty much the same. No explanation needed.
I will have to try the wealthymen, but I am so not into sugar, even in my diet.

LOL I remember one day I was late to class (that I teach) because of that. You know, crazy people jumping on subway tracks.

Nope. Perhaps it is something about the thin air of the Mile-High City.

I know, they are so inconsiderate of my time.

Don't get me wrong I feel bad for them. What is that bad in your life that you can't solve? That you have to kill yourself? *sigh*. As a psychologist myself, I can never understand why people kill themselves. We're all gonna die some day anyway, why take life so seriously? Also, why end life prematurely? Life is like zebra stripes there are white patches and black patches. After you get through a rough patch...life gets better. It really does. icon_smile.gif

Think about the problems you had back in your childhood...you laugh at it now because it seems so inconsequential. Well, same thing with your troubles now. Later in your life when you look at it retrospectively, you'll just laugh at the pain, and think why you were so silly back then. icon_biggrin.gif

Watching your threads and posts, I've learned something. Avoid Denver at all costs! It's the biggest, most mortifying, worst hell hole on the planet. It isn't very pretty what a town without pity can do.

Or at the very least, the Denver based folks on A4A.

Oh, and in B4 FeartheFall's expected "you cruise you lose" or A4A troll post... icon_lol.gif

wealthymen.com : something sort of tacky about the scrolling profiles with the "makes this much $$$"...

    I smells me some Gold~~~~digggah!

Though aside from the trust fund kids, I'd be inclined to chat some of them up for business ideas, lol...

I m actually diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder.. Before you actually rush to conclusions please do some research.. Bipolar Disorder otherwise also known as Manic DEPRESSION, is a disorder that is characterised by mood disorders, depression, delusions, alternate episodes of mania/hypomania etc etc... I did have my manic episode, and after all these months i think i m doin great, dated many guys after that, and nobody complained.. So u may wanna open the wiki on that one... And for all the freuds out there, who dont know anything about psychology, before calling anyone a SCHIZO do know that schizophrenia is a very serious disorder which is characterised by auditory hallucinations, delusions, thought and speaking disorders etc... Mood disorders and splitmindedness has nothing to do with it... Some of the greatest minds on the planet like einstein or vangogh were schizo and bipolar.. U know what i wanna avoid the most are the BIGOTS... They are everywhere..

Uh uh...you didn't learn that from me. I'm just the messenger. But at the same time I can't help what I've come across. Maybe if there were less cannabis shops on every corner people would have a bit more brain cells here. I swear everyone I've met here is a pothead.

Anyhow, I'm on a no-discussing-Denver fast right now. I spent the past 2 days talking about it only to end up banned from another forum. So I'm done. You didn't hear it from me. icon_neutral.gif

well I've taken the 1st step which is meetup.com. 1 small step for man, 1 giant step to sanity. And even at the last meetup I went to there was a total nut job in the group. icon_wink.gif

You know I would LOVE to screen better but I kid you not every person that ever exchanges numbers with me on a4a here seems to only communicate thru text.

I'll ask a guy, "can we chat on the phone soon?" They'll call me and let the phone ring for like 2 seconds, hangup and then don't answer back. I'm telling you, these people out here are NUTS! They are so afraid to talk on the phone because they know someone is going to be able to pick up on their crap.

So it's almost impossible to screen people out because all they do text. I think they text because they know the moment they open their mouths I'm going to know what's going on.
