The story suggests this was a young boys locker room, which is even more disturbing. ......No wonder some guys do the towel dance in there. And why gays get a bad reputation, assumed to be the guilty parties in these things.
Were we watching the same news story? I saw nothing to suggest that "this was a young boys lockerroom"? Conspiracy theory again, Art? What in the story suggested there was any connection whatsoever to gay people? It would appear that the only one assuming gays are the guilty parties here is YOU. Is that the YMCA in Wichita that HndsmKansan works out at? Perhaps we should have him investigated LOL
And did you actually READ the story? Some quotes:
But the YMCA administration says it's already done a thorough check for cameras at its other facilities. "We serve two out of three kids in the area," said Megan Sterrett, Community Relations Director for the Wichtia Area YMCA."
"A locker room is a locker room for a reason," said Karen Ceuvas as she dropped off her brother for swim lessons. I would presume her brother who needed swim lessons and a ride wasn't 30 years old.
I said the article "suggested" the camera was in a boys locker room, not that it was a proven fact. As for gays being suspected of doing such things, ask any gay man who has contact with straights, or who has read anti-gay hate literature. The story did not mention that, nor did I say it did. My comment had to do with the assumption that many straights will make from this.
Odd that you don't know these things about how gays are viewed by many straights, thanks to disinformation from the Right, or just common myths. Or perhaps in your rush to slam me with your usual slanders about "conspiracy theories" (and where's the conspiracy here, but an observation about common prejudices against gays?), you just got a little excited.
Because your problem is that you go off whenever I get a little too close to the truth, that you want concealed. I can therefore gauge the accuracy of my own words by the offensiveness of yours in response to them.
