Sarah Palin Sighting In Scottsdale

So I stopped by the ETCH Salon in Scottsdale where I get my haircut to make an appt for this morning, and who was there paying for hers at the receptionist but none other than Sarah Palin herself. She is so gorgeous --- and her hair looked great by the way. Fresh highlights :-) Didn't speak to her, but I sure wanted to as she was right next to me. The guy that did her hair is in the chair right next to the guy who cut mine, so this morning I tried to get the scoop, but they were pretty tight-lipped other than to say she was pretty tight-lipped when asked if she is running for President. Apparently, she did drop a few hints that something is coming on "Independence Day". Apparently she used that term, not the 4th of July, and it was suggested that perhaps, if she runs, she is going to run as an Independent and announce on Independence Day. Regardless, the whole salon was buzzing about it this morning, and the general consensus from the people that worked there (and they are a very liberal bunch and not Palin fans) that she had won them over and that she was really sweet. What I found interesting is how normal she looked. No bodyguards, no anything that would suggest she was anything more than a new-to-Scottsdale gal in to get her hair done.

    "Won them over?"

That makes me sad. I'm sure she's a lovely person to have a casual conversation with, but that doesn't mean I'd want her running the country.

I didn't mean she won them over in the sense that they would vote for her. I meant she won them over in the sense that she is extremely polite, sweet, and immensely likable. Comes off as very down-to-earth and normal. She has a very positive energy about her, and she just seems like a very nice person, upbeat, very friendly, not diva-like in any way.

Your kind words about her are going to upset many here, including that Democratic robot.

Like I care?!?! icon_lol.gif It does disappoint me when people who have never even met her say the vilest, most cruel things about her. I understand people not agreeing with some of her political views, but some of the things said about her are baseless and totally unfair. She seems to be a genuinely good person, a good mother, and love our country...is that so bad?

Agree. I commented in another thread where someone wrote "Palin is dumb" that when people write that or "Palin is a moron", I would find it interesting to put their life accomplishments next to hers.

It has been my experience that people who call accomplished successful people "dumb" or a "moron" are more often than not people who are neither "accomplished" or particularly "successful".

It sounds like y'all are out of the loop...but it's understandable.

Sarah Palin is "Millenial Enemy #1"

'Nuff said. Sarah Palin is so dumb.

I'm sure she's quite competent at shopping.
    She should stick to that.

Typical Realjock political thread, where the gays are defending the very person who would just as soon see a buckshot through their skull. This woman cares nothing about you, and you're going to sit there and crawl all over someone because they called her "dumb." Well, she is dumb, and you don't need to meet the bitch in person to see that! icon_rolleyes.gif

That's what they used to say about Stalin.

I find it amazing, I heard her described as a "phony" who was adhering to a 'role'.. a 'public role".. by a neighbor who had a book signed by her..
Very interesting. My view of her only declined as a result of the experience.
And I'm a very positive person.

You're right. I'm the only person in the world who thinks the bitch is stupid. In fact, most people think she's highly intelligent, well educated, (even on subjects outside of Paul Revere) and is quite capable of running the country. icon_eek.gif

Oh, now c'mon, Scuffypants....even Paul Revere has come out to say how much he likes Sarah icon_wink.gif
