    Maybe the Repubs here can phone and stop this from happening. It appears to be balanced on a single vote. Quick, southbeach1500, socialfitness, CuriousJockAZ, and others, you can still act to block this! Your e-mails or phone calls against gay marriage in New York may turn the tide!

    OMG OMG OMG. SKY IS FALLING OH NOES!!!

    Actually, as an independent right-leaning voter in NY, I'm happy about this.

    Hey Art, FYI, the GOP in New York is not dominated by primitive-minded, religious lunatics like in many other states. Our republicans here for the most part are more open-minded and progressive so stop beating up on republicans because not all of them are anti-gay or anti other minorities. I am optimistic that the state senate will pass this marriage equality bill.

    Art_Deco logic:

    Gay = good

    Liberal = good

    Gay Liberal = very good

    Not Gay Liberal = tolerable

    Not Gay Conservative = annoying, but tolerable at extreme distance

    Gay Conservative = Very, very, very bad... a traitor to his own kind ... MUST resist urge to run over him with moped....! icon_razz.gif

    Too bad OldGeezer isn't on here anymore. He could have spearheaded the efforts to sabatoge gay marriage in NY.
