Thank you so much for making me "Man Of The Day" recently! I'm extremely honored, and a bit surprised actually, ha ha. icon_redface.gif

I'm sorry that I've not been online much recently, but I'm currently in Indiana for a performing arts festival, and I'm having SO much fun.

I have a couple updates, and an anecdote. So we'll start with the updates:

A: I've sucked it up and I've came out to my friends, as well as most of my family. It's surprising how supportive and non-judgemental they have been. So my parents are next, which is going to be hard to do since my dad used to go Gay bashing for fun with his buddies. Good thing he already taught me martial arts, haha.

B: I've been selected as a Featured Artist at this festival, so I'm going to be performing.... A lot..... But I couldn't be happier, because I'm doing what I love to do with people who are extremely awesome.

    And for the anecdote:

So on my 23 hour, 1500 mile journey to Indiana I had probably the best/Most shocking thing that could ever happen to me. So here I am, driving for 14 hours all the way from Rio Rancho, New Mexico, to Springfield, Missouri - and let me tell you, after 14 hours, not only is everything funny, but I'm all of 3 minutes away from falling asleep at the wheel. So here I am looking for a place to stop for the night, and behold! A sign for the Ramada Inn. One hotel that I actually look forward to staying in. So I pull in the parking lot, tired and gross as all get out, and what happens when I walk in? A cute male receptionist around my age is sitting the counter. So I try to compose myself knowing I probably look like a mess, and suavely (or at least tried) to approach the counter. All is going well, and I starting flirting with him a bit. Well he didn't seem too receptive, so I stopped trying and just stayed friendly.

When I stumbled into my room, I climbed into the shower, hoping to find something to talk to him about when I got out and looked and smelled better. As I opened the bathroom door something on the ground caught my eye - it was a piece of paper with a note on it, reading: "Josh, The only reason I am giving you this is because I am no longer on shift. Good luck on your 10-hour drive tomorrow. - Jon (Text me!)" then put his number. Well after texting him for a couple hours I finally fell into my long coming coma.

The next day as I just left Springfield, he called me in hopes that we could go to coffee. I've never flipped a car in a U-Turn so fast before in my life. And we proceeded to have a coffee date that soon turned into a 6 hour date with no awkwardness what-so-ever. Yeah It was an awesome day. I'm taking him to dinner when I go back through there icon_smile.gif.

Anyway, thank you all once again, and I hope to talk to all of you soon, and I hope you're all doing fantastic!!

    - Josh
