I just bought this fat burner supplement to gain more definition, my body fat right now is at 9-10%. Im not expecting to drop 10 pounds or anything like that just to lean down a bit while still focusing on putting on muscle. The product is Magnum Heat Accelerated.

    http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/magnum/heat-accelerated.html

Is this ok to take? lol

I went to the website of the product, and checked out the ingredients. There's really nothing substantial in there, in significant amounts to create the hyper-thermogenic state that you probably are looking for.

You would have better luck going to your local GNC (or even any health shop here in Toronto where I live as well) and getting caffeine, ephedra, and aspirin, and doing the ECA stack (which if you are not familiar with, you can google).

    Everything in moderation.

That product, magnum heat is a lot of vitamins, with weak amounts of thermogenics.

Thanks for this reply man. But do u think there are any health risks to using this? I have no heart disease or anything.I understand by What u explained that it might not be very effective but does that mean it won't make a difference at all? I bought two bottles at my local supplements store and they say it's certified as a pretty safe supplement. I was wondering if this is true before I start taking it or if u really think I should definitely avoid it.

    Thanks in advance

I am currently doing my fist cutting cycle in my life and I am using ephedrine/caffeine and cayenne pepper. I figure I have about 6-7 lb left to go. I have started close to 3 weeks ago and I am steadily losing 2 lb per week. I do low intensity cardio every morning for 60 minutes( walking on a slope) and weights 3 times a week. I figured my maintenance calories level is about 1900 and I eat around 1400 per day, maybe 1-2 bananas(100-160 cal) extra on weights days.

From the research I've done, besides steroids, only ephedrine/caffeine works.
Any other supplement is just crap backed by marketing "studies".

Any supplements store sells ephedrine in Canada and is very cheap.

200mg caffeine/20-25g ephedrine 3 times a day (e.q. 8 am, noon, 4 pm). Build it gradually to that amount in a week or so and don't do it more than 6 weeks in a row... is the general consensus about it.

In addition, you could take about 3 times a day cayenne pills(or powder, powder is the best and cheapest) about 90000 SHU each time.

The effect of cayenne pepper on your body is dramatic and almost instantly. (on blood flow, metabolism, CNS, muscle recovery etc)

In fact, I use cayenne as a regular pre workout supplement. You wont find a lot of info about it on bodybuilding sites since it cost very little and there isn't much profit for the supplement companies and reps. to make out of it.

If you care to read more about it some sites below, though you could just do a simple google on cayenne and ephedrine.

    For cayenne, http://www.cayennepepper.info/health-benefits-of-cayenne-pepper.html

The combination of ephedrine & caffeine (EC) appears to be among the best weight loss regimens available today. This remarkable combination:

    1. Increases fat loss.
    2. Maintains muscle mass.
    3. Prevents the fall of HDL cholesterol during weight loss.
    4. Increases insulin sensitivity.
    5. Reduces lipogenesis.
    6. Is very safe (despite recent sensationalist news reports to the contrary).

The only ingredient I saw that throws up a caution flag is the geranium oil which is just a nice way of saying methylhexaneamine. I'd stay off of it long term. Of course it's in most pre-supps and thermogenics which are already only recommended in cycles. ;)

    My pleasure!

Ephedrine has been used by Chinese for about 5000 years!
Cayenne is just a wonder herb.

In addition, if you are on a fat loss diet I would use casein and not whey powder. (cottage cheese--- 60g of protein for less than $4)

Casein has recently been shown to be anti-catabolic compared to whey protein, which means it will be more useful in helping to prevent any muscle loss during the diet days.

There are a number of thermogenics on the market that are effective. However, it comes down to eating clean, cardio, and weight training, People want a quick fix and don't want to work hard to get results. I tell clients everyday that they didn't gain 30lbs in one month so don't expect to lose it.

Most of the supplements will elevate your metabolism with increasing yur heartrate aritificially, but the side effect is elevated blood pressure. Just take a little green tea and increase your cardio.

Yeah, it got banned in the States years ago. A bunch of morons took more than the recommended dosage. And they either died, or had heart attacks, or developed some health problems. Then politicians stepped in, and their knee jerk reaction was to ban the stuff. You can buy it online, but I'm a little weary about buying from random websites.
