I know there is another topic/thread titled "measuring," but it is limited. I would like to know specifically how to take measurements properly. There must be some protocol or standard. I think it is important to keep accurate measurements. But I can see how the measurements can vary a lot depending on where you measure and how you do it.

For example, where do you measure specifically, do you flex the muscle (or only some muscles and not others like stomach) before (and how long, for a quick second, three seconds, a minute) or not, and other factors. What areas are usually measured? I am looking for at least how to measure biceps, chest, waist, thighs, calves, or any more parts that a bodybuilder should measure.
