    As is Weiner. icon_eek.gif

You do know that the Weiner just resigned, don't you RickRick?

But Scwarzenegger is the biggest disgrace.
All the details have been spilling out about his behavior too.
    http://www.radaronline.com/exclusives/2011/05/arnold-schwarzenegger-maid-mildred-patty-baena-not-one-time-thing
But I wouldn't start a thread about that.
    It's not worth it.

And as the poll shows SB, a majority of Americans care more about the fact that the media is failing to cover the real issues than they do about silly sex scandals.

Hey is that the media's fualt?
    Trainwrecks sell
    If its inflammatory itll sell
    even serious crises

It used to be that news reporting wasn't about selling or ratings.
It was about informing the American people on the important things going on in the world.
    It was above commerce.
    It was above politics.
Now it's just a branch of the entertainment industry.
Or - as in the case of Fox "News" - a propaganda outlet for political spin.

The whole Weiner covering got way out of hand. He didn't really break any laws in my opinion, but he shouldn't have lied. Still, I wouldn't have resigned. Oh and come on Rick, don't talk about The Terminator. icon_razz.gif

The people who applauded and cat called Weiner at his press conference today should be deeply and eternally ashamed of themselves.

Something I think the public would be interested about - and speaks directly to the issues they're concerned about:

Pension, benefits for Anthony Weiner could top $1M

    http://content.usatoday.com/communities/onpolitics/post/2011/06/anthony-weiner-resignation-pension-campaign-funds/1

For a guy who has never held a job in the private sector, not bad.

We are just more entertaining. American politics = Pop culture
The presidential race has to keep up with American Idol after all.
