    NATHAN!!!!

I loved Summer Heights High. I like Angry Boys.

I sort of feel like the humour is too blatant this time. Maybe to appeal to an American audience.

At first I laughed at the heavy use of obsenities, but it started to feel like he's relying on the power of words like "faggot" and "nigger" and "motherfucker" to carry those characters. As the season moves on, I'm thinking about how South Park encouraged "gay" to be cool to use in place of stupid, and how they made life harder for ginger kids, and each mention of "faggot" makes me say "Aww man, that's not gonna do any good". Of course I don't actually say that in my head every time or else I couldn't pay attention. Just a feeling.

Still, I look forward to each episode and like it a lot.

Yh I know what you mean. The S.Mouse character for example is overly on-the-nose and not so funny to me at all, a good parody of soldier boy, but not exactly anything that would make me laugh-out-loud, nor is it especially interesting to watch for more than 5 minutes.

The use of profanities is a bit heavy handed and gratuitous, almost to the point where it is obvious that he blatantly wants to shock the audience with how un-PC he is being, as opposed to making it come off as more believable and organic, which is where the real humour lies (for example, as shown with the Mr G & Ja' Mie characters).

Still, early days for Angry Boys, so here's hoping... =]

I cannot stand that guy! I was offended by the redhead (ranga) skits.

^ Out of all the potentially offensive stuff on his shows, that Jonah 'ranga' comment was pretty tame in comparison, IMO ;]

Plus, he is takes the piss out of nearly everybody but not to the point where it is malicious, it's all very tongue in cheek and lampoons those that really use those terms IRL...

The family dynamic reminds me of an asian friend I had in public school. It was scary seeing them yell at him when I was over, but I could tell they were holding back for my sake. Yikes!
