I made a Manhunt once. I used it to troll one of my coworkers who was on it. I no longer have a Manhunt and neither does he.

I still have an A4A which I use for the lulz (hooked up with: 0, blocked: 21), and my phone likely predates Grindr. I'd keep your profiles if you appreciate the comic value, otherwise, yeah, axe them.

We just dont get those exciting A4A profiles here in AZ. This city is full of bottoms. lol I cant help it.

Alas...The only reason I would keep Grindr is so I can keep track of my ho-friends. Sometimes its the only way.

Full of bottoms? Go to Seattle, then say that. Some of the hotter people here are Goatse fanboys, and almost everyone is either a bottom, or "vers" but really a bottom.

    I deleted my manhunt profile.
    Just ew.
90% of the messages on there just made me uncomfortable and I couldn't take the profiles with their penis as their main photo.icon_neutral.gif
And I had grindr, but never really used it. Just really awkward... I lost my ipod touch though.

I'm not into hook up sites. And quite frankly I feel that there are one too many of them. It perpetuates the idea that Homosexuals are always on the prowl for some new dick. I find them sleazy and lecherous. There are simply better ways to connect with humanity. Those sites lack intimacy and passion, but contains a load of skank.

Skanks are fun sometimes. They always make me feel better about myself.

Its become useless to me. I should just do a new profile for purely entertainment values.

MH is more entertaining than not. Usually full of creeps over 40.

Yeah, because God knows there are no creeps under 40 on there. What a stupid thing to say.

I haven't been able to get Grindr to work, from what i hear it's along the lines of manhunt, which i'm not particularly interested in.

    Scottsdale, eh? icon_biggrin.gif

The A4A local to me seems to have a disproportionate number of tops that even if they were bottoms I'd not touch them with a barge-pole... NYC in general seems to be balanced, though that's not accounting for this logic:

    stated top = top

stated top/vers = will top if he has too, prefers bottom

    stated vers = bottom

    stated vers/bottom = power bottom

stated bottom = can suck a golf ball through a soda straw.... using his ass.

Is that why you got rid of your MH, so you won't join the ranks of the creeps in 9 years?

I don't really get what Grindr is about.

Is it a hook-up site presented as an iPhone app? Or is it just a way of seeing who is gay within your town?

Also, do they see your phone number etc and are able to call you? I just don't really understand how it would all work icon_confused.gif

perpetuates the idea? well homosexuals for the most part are always on the prowl for new cock. look at most of the profiles even here. you will notice one thing... most are looking or in the market for hookups.

Most people on A4A are way too flakey or they message to many people, then shaft you for a fake profile (then return). I'm not really one for hook ups, I tend to look for special friends more.

i had manhunt and a4a profiles. i met one person i liked on a4a, we've been dating off and on, most everyone else was nasty. i didn't realize it was so exclusive to hook ups because it does say dating in the description. some guys i liked but they just want to hook up. One guy was asking me to be a houseboy.... no thanks... he was friendly though.

deleted manhunt awhile back, just deleted a4a today.

Its funny, here in San Francisco everyone says it is a sea of bottoms, but I only get hit on by total tops, like only.

i remember when I went through a "Im gonna try topping" phase which lasted a whole 4 days because I realized that my ass attracts every top in a 5 mile radius.

This is how I use it, and I'd hope that was the creator's intentions.. there are Manhunt and A4A apps that already cater to that marker.

However this is definitely not what people use it for.

They don't see your number, they see your profile and can start a chat by sending messages. You can also send pictures and your location. That's about it. It lists people by how close they are to you as determined by wifi/gps location.

As far as the OP, I have profiles on lots of sites, I haven't deleted them and plan to any time soon. I don't use these for hookups, been against hookups for a long time, but I like the idea that it leaves an avenue open to find/meet people. Not EVERYONE on these sites is sex crazed or creepy. I have met some cool people on MH and A4A.

Do I take them seriously? Hell no.

    lol awwww

I guess after a while it's tiring cuz it's usually the same old people online, you get the same old messages from people you don't like and you send the same messages to people you like and they don't respond

I have gotten creative though with A4A, I change my profile and change my location

I have seen some RJers on there who seem to slut out on A4A and this is their good site LOL

I had Grindr and Manhunt, and I stopped using both since I wasn't into what most people wanted. And I found myself wasting time on it.

Had a manhunt for less than an hour. lmao

Grindr I keep to see who will join and what not. I get a kick out of it and have made a couple friends.

a4a I just reactivated and I giggle whenever I get a message from a guy who is obviously there just to see if he can lay me.

jack'd is probably my favorite because of its Interested/Match option, Grindr like GPS and profile that isn't just, "Height. Weight. Dick".
