Was just thinkin about this cuz it's happened to me

You see a guy at the gym or anywhere else in public and you recognize him from some site you are on. Would you say anything (assuming you never really actually talked to him) you may have sent a message or two or looked at his profile a lot

Is that weird to be like, hey I saw you on manhunt lol or RJ

I mean he would obviously have a face pic online for you to recognize him so it's not like he's on the dl lol

    I wouldn't say anything.

Now being in a small not-so-anonymous town I see people daily that I've seen online. I think interacting in public would break the function of being online and therefore we could be deemed as too 'emotionally' unavailable.

At least by remaining anonymous and online it lets us feed our disconnectedness from society and interaction. Therefore we can still create a facade for the outsider and ourselves that we are a 'catch' based on pictures and text. We don't have to let anyone inside that we don't want.

-but this all depends on our motives for being online. I'm only speaking from experience.

I would approach him only if we have been in touch online. Even then I would rather check with him first that of we meet someplace is it ok to stop by and say hello.

I wouldn't mention the site but if I knew that indeed the guy was gay I'd go up to him and say hi....Then if you go out later I'd confess seeing him on a site...BUD

I'd run up to him, throw my arms around him, and say "OMG dude! You look just like your [insert gay site name] profile! Let's go fool around in the sauna!"

this happened to me, and i did nothing, and i wanted to ask the same question lol

i think i saw him on here actually. i recognized this guy at pride. i had messaged him before, maybe a month or 2 ago, and can't believe i recognized him in public. he never answered me though. when i saw him at pride he was doing the stares at you but looks away when you look at him thing too lol. you could stare at me more had you responded icon_razz.gif

i've had people call me by my first name, in public, that i had never met before and it freaked me the fuck out. i assume they saw me on myspace.

I try to avoid the people I know, much less web site strangers...
