Does anyone (other than me) actually read other peoples' "About me" and such?

I hate it when a profile doesn't have anything on it. No matter how hot the pic is.

I usually read profiles like this:

#1: Scroll over photos to age.

    #2: Read location.

    #3: Read "About Me."

#4: Read everything else if #3 is intriguing.

    Absolutely bro!

I have on occasion not hot listed or not even given a second look at a profile with limited or no information in the about me section regardless of what the pic might look like. I like to know a little bit about someone beyond just what they look like. A lack of any information can suggest laziness, apathy, or lack of self-awareness, not the sexiest of traits. - but hey that's just my opinion man to each their own.

I read entire profiles. I'm annoyed by photo only profiles.

I think a good profile indicates much. If someone takes the time, gives forethought to the information it indicates he is serious about this site, his fitness or just being real.

Most of the time I think those who don't bother with either creating a complete profile or don't bother reading and "judge by pictures" are of one mind as to what they want.

OK, that's it...I need to go update mine and put some thought into it. I just hate writing about myself, makes me feel like I'm sugar coating everything....yet, average just doesn't seem to be enough! LOL

I don't make a habit of randomly browsing profiles. When I do, it's either to learn more about a poster whose forum contributions I find interesting, or it's out of curiosity in response to somebody emailing me. In either case, the "about me" section really is the first thing I look for.

It also nice to see people participating in forums and such. Then you can get a bigger idea of what they are like.

I always read them. It gives me a good idea if I even want to be talking to the person.

Yeah, me too, although I partially read their "About Me". If it's interesting I continue.

Other annoying people are those with NOTHING on their profile! icon_biggrin.gificon_lol.gificon_razz.gificon_wink.gif
