thx for posting those, nothing beats big installations/sculptures for that first sight feeling. And anyone who can visit the Tate Modern is so lucky. only was there once but one of my favorite galleries because of stuff like that.
Massive minimalist sculpture by Richard Sera. People did not know about it until developers wanted to rip it out of the ground.
"King City, Ontario, Canada is also the location of Shift, an outdoor sculpture by Richard Serra built between 1970 and 1972. The sculpture was commissioned by Roger Davidson, and is being considered for protection under the Ontario Heritage Act by the Township of King Heritage Committee. The work is located on land just south of the village, for which the township has received development proposals by its owner Great Gulf Group."
