    Hiya Folks

I'm looking for suggestions as to where to eat on Christmas Day in New York City. Something that isn't too over-the-top price-wise would be ideal...

Do you have any other suggestions as to what might be good to do on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day? We'll be a long way from home and family at this special time of year and will need to keep ourselves occupied..

    Thanks! icon_smile.gif

You have a time machine? The next thing you have to worry about is Christmas?

    wow you're really planning ahead!
my advice is to spend at least some time around Rockefeller Center (the tree) nearby St Pat's and Central Park south. That would make a fine walk on Christmas eve, or Christmas morning. You could throw in ice skating and then christmas dinner in a nice restaurant (there are so many good restaurant choices, it's not funny) you're gonna have to do a little research on your own there, not every place is even open on christmas day. i like this place with fantastic views of central park: www.robertnyc.com which is not cheap, but won't break you either. good luck and happy holidays.icon_biggrin.gif

This up and coming one is going to be ROUGH. I'd rather be in Hawaii or Jamaica.

Well, sometimes you have to book way ahead to get into a decent place for Christmas. Its only 6 months away... ;-)

    I do in fact

And you are right, we should worry about that Moon habitation project, I heard it has reprehensible results.

MuchMoreThanMuscle saidNot sure if it will be open on Christmas day but I really liked eating at a restaurant called Cafeteria in Manhattan. It's moderately priced and I thought it was not too over the top. The food was not pretentious, it was tasty and if I lived in NYC I would go there regularly.

It appears to be open 24 hours also, check it out here:

Thanks for the suggestion mate, it looks great!
