    Such a fantastic movie--

directed by Greg Araki(mysterious skin, smiley face, nowhere, the doom generation).

sort of like a vibrant colored, sex fueled donnie darko( minus time travel).

Plus Thomas dekker was really hot in it too.

anyone else seen any great films lately?

minus time travel? that part was just in donnie's mind. i actually didn't realize that about the movie till years later. donnie darko's wicked difficult to understand, i guess that's the point though, to let you know what it feels like to be deluded.

no i haven't seen this. i would like to now, thanks for posting

donnie was dealing with schizophrenia, which means split reality, he kept seeing visions of frank and his eye and explained it to himself with the theory of time travel. that's what the pills were for. before the movie starts he was actually in a mental hospital, i forget where i read that, but they decided to cut it from the movie. if you watch it again you'll notice the voice talking to him that tells him to wake up and go to the golf course and all that.

    so basically *SPOILERS*

at the end he watched his girl get run over, lost it and hung out with her dead body for awhile while imagining his own death in his head
