Well I got my answer, they spent most of their lives in hiding, as straight men, thus promoting there was something wrong with homosexuality. The work they left for my generation to do and get done, and now so much of the hard work has been done for them they want to benifit from it all now, that it is safe to do so, because so much of the hard slog was done for them, while they did nothing.. Sorry since I came out as 5 year old, when it still was not safe to do so, way back in Aussie rural bush in the 1960s. One finds it hard to care or respect the generations before me who did nothing, and now they want to stand under the gay banner; it just does not seem right to me, and I have nothing to thank them for either.

Everyone has an opinion, some more strongly stated than others. It's a process, man. It doesn't happen overnight. When you came out/where/why/etc. is no one's concern but yours.

    Live and let live, buddy.

Diddums if that help you. Living proof we don't all think or vote the same, nor are we one.

But sorry I don't have anything to be thankful for what the older generations did for me, because most of them did little. They lived in secrecy, and went to party's at Dorothy's.

Now when I become active in the newly forming gay community, it was still illegal to be a homosexual, I was proactive in helping turn that around. Homosexuality was still classed as a mental health issue. One was also proactive in helping turn that around too. Then we had the gay plague to deal with, when so many dies and many other went running hiding abandoning the gay community. yet I stood stead fast, to it wit only a few by my side.

But you give yourself the right to freedom of speech, no matter how bitter and hatful that may be. maybe it's you who is the troll.

Sorry but I have very little to be thankful to the older generation of homosexuals, and even less to our older half brothers. Because they did nothing to create an environment for us to be safe in. No us younger ones did most of the hard slog, that gay youth of today enjoy and benifit from. I'm sure you did little either little boy. So littleboy. One is not responcible for your issues or another.

if one talks about us Gold card gays, and a bisexual who spent most of his life as a pseudo hetrosexual, and now want to be seen as gay, and i say sorry, but you are not one of us. I am not responcible for their issues, anger or wasted life, that all belongs to them, nor does it give them the right to repress one, or fob one off as a troll, because they don't like what they hear.

"An older couple like this might not have been waving flags for the entire 60 years, but certainly they had friends. And friends talked to other friends and in their love they helped to change ideas that made our world possible. Celebrate them; do not denegrate them."

AND they stuck together and built something that lasted. Hats off, gentlemen!

It's a nice story. I'm sure they had their reasons for not coming out sooner, but we have not lived in their shoes so let's just celebrate the fact that they are here now. They are a living testament to the fact that gay men can, and do stay together forever.

There are also some who'd think you are instigating a reprisal aka trolling. So don't cast blame. If someone states their opinion without bringing someone's name into it, that's not provoking anything. But your post, not only singles someone out, but in a derogatory and inflammatory way. THIS behavior doesn't only threaten to provoke a reprisal by your target and his entourage, but puts you in very real danger of being bumped for violating the TSA. You can't single someone out in a derogatory way. He stated his opinion; state yours. Why do you have to call names? Many of you seem to think the TSA is just whatever, nothing. I can assure you it's very something. The moderators HAVE to enforce it.

The moderators do not HAVE to enforce the TSA. There is no law that says they must. It is their site and they can enforce the rules when and how strictly as they see fit. We are their guests on this privately owned site. There have been many occurrences where I wish they would enforce the TOS rules, but I have to remember it is not my site. If the rules were strictly enforced, many of the regulars of the News & Politics would be long gone by now. Even the ones claiming they didn't start it, since it is also a TOS rule that you can't publicly defend yourself or others in the forums, but instead need to report it to the site.
And be careful wishing for greater enforcement as it can come back and haunt the very person you are trying to protect:

Cupcake just as one has no interest in you at all, it has been your constant personal attacks and name calling of one that has made one speak back to you. You feel you can attack one just because I seemly behold diffrent views to you. But I don't feel threatend by you differing views.

Just as Art deco has a very long history of attacking one, and going out of his way to degrade one, and repress one and force one to leave RJ though his bullying, but he failed, so I to was forced to talk back to him too, after his relentless abuse. When one first started with pure homosexual, he labeled one poor homosexual, feeling he is above one, in his mind. Oh and the person who just spoke out in my defence, was here long ago when Art Deco started his abuse too, so he is well aware of the history.

RJ has overlooke countless threads dead dedicated just to abuse and bastardise me...... So If I have to go so do you and the people you mention.
