I was married to a great girl, I have a mom, two sisters, a step mother, grandmothers. I work with women, I have many friends who are women.

But I getting increaseily frustrated with them. They sometimes tend to be so self-centered and emotional that talking to them is next to impossible. I dont want to be a hater, but sometimes I just want to shout "SHUT UP!! SHUT THE #@$%@ UP!!" I get so frustrated.

This isn't controlling my life, but I was just listening to the news and two women were talking about dieting. They were (1) 100% wrong in their advice and (2) talking on top of each other so it was impossible to listen to either of them and (3) acted so sure of themselves I found myself thinking, "If I was the reporter talking to them, I would throw the micrphone down and walk away."

Is something wrong with me? Does anyone else share this? I dont HATE them.... I just get so tired of listening to them.

I guess no one has ever told you that MEN and WOMEN are diffrent on so many levels. Good grief. In your rant you have not mentioned one positive thing about women. Men can be just as annoying if not more.

Did you give anything thought to hmmm I don't know changing the channel, or excusing yourself from the innane conversation. I guess since I primarily work with women and have sisters...and seen first hand the "EVIL THE MEN DO". I tend to be a lot more sympatheic to women.

    WOW!

Lets put it in this way. In ages gone by, men were out 'hunting' (or banging each other) while women were 'gathering' and talking about which berry when soaked with beetle can make his dong become the extra 'club'

(in reality they just created a searing burning pain on his genitalia)

To the poster above, I am not that one dimensional; there are lots of things about women that I love and enjoy. I thnk that right now I am just surrounded by a whole lot of frivilous and self-involved ones and they are driving me insane.

But it is a rant and one doesnt rant about the stuff that DOESN'T annoy. It is just lately, I seem to be surrounded by women who are so wrapped up in themselves they cannot function or carry on a conversation.

Of course there are exceptions to every rule. There are men who are like this, too. But on the majority, I find men much, much easier to talk to.

And yes, I also have seen the Evil that men can do. I know that women are able to be victimized. But women who claim victimization over "he said thus and so and I cannot beleive he would say that to me!!" compared to the REAL victimization of domestic violence and sexual assault drives me crazy.

"I emailed him and it took TWO DAYS to email me back! I won't be treated like that! I dont care if he is busy at work!" - come on... that is NOT a man being evil... that is a woman who thinks too highly of herself.

let that make you even more grateful to be gay.

dude, i understand your pain and i get where you are coming from. however, i think you are making a generalization. i hate to say this but you are starting to sound a bit like some of the gay guys who hate women. these guys, hate everything about them. which is funny because they came from one.

anyhow, i look at it as people being people. hell, i have worked with gay guys and believe me the ones that i have worked for were four times worst than any woman could ever be

Thanks, man. I dont want to be blasted and flamed... I am not a bad guy. But maybe I just need to be reminded that its all good. It has only been recently that I started thinking how frustrating it is.

I will fully admit that my perspective isn't in the right place right now. But have any of you guys ever felt like this? What did you do to fix it? I dont want to be a hater. I dont want to be that guy.

when i do not want to be bothered with people like that. i avoid them. i spend no time with outside of work and i limit my interaction with them. i think that is what you need to do.
by the way, i was not trying to give you a hard time. i just wanted you to realize that not all women are like that.

I can sympathize with the OP to a certain degree. Fortunately, the women I work with get to see first hand how obnoxious most women can be and are normally the easiest people to work with.

Both my female coworkers and I have developed a certain level of misogyny when dealing females in our line of business, men's tailored clothing. Mothers, wives and girlfriends that show up to "approve" the purchase are almost always controlling cunts. I manage to send one into a rage at least once a week when I interject into an argument a couple is having over the man's intended choice of clothing. I smile very sweetly and look the man dead in the eye while pointedly ignoring the female and say "Wow, what would happen if you followed her into one of her favorite stores and did the same thing she's doing to you right now?". Usually this shuts the cunt up, but she seethes and glares at me and then second guesses me and my tailor durring the marking process. Sometimes the guy completely buys into what I am saying and gets pissed off and tells his cunt off. Sometimes they cry after that and it's fucking awesome. Sometimes the cunt storms out and sometimes the guy asks her to leave. One of my female managers once looked at a contolling mother and said "Why don't you let his balls out of your purse and let him make his own decisions?". The son and the father (he was faithfully holding the cunt's purse) both erupted into laughter and the mother stormed out to go pout in the car.

Oh, before you get your twats in a twist over the use fo the word cunt, I use it because the four women I work with (ages 21-67) use the word more times an hour that I do all week.

Don, I love your use of the word cunt! It's my favorite word in the English language.

Guys remember: Women do give birth to gay children, so they are not completely void of some redeeming characteristics. Gotta love 'em for that!

Maybe youre just feeling down and personal issues that are not yours are really frustrating you because you feel like you have your own crap to deal with?

Women tend to throw their crap out at you whether you care or not, and if you are dealing with your own, well, it tends to become overwhelming.

    My two cents.

The frustration I have with many of the women I work with or know is that they don't know how to be direct without being nasty about it.

I don't know. I go to my female friends for advice before I go to my male friends. Females tend to be able to grasp that not all situations are the same and each one has it's own unique involvement.

I think what you describe could be applied to about any group, not just women.

But when it comes to women, I tend to break them into categories. I get along with all, except my patience tends to run a little shorter with those who are "take charge, take control types" that have driven personalities.
I respect all women except the very few in my life that haven't extended the same courtesy.

Tuffguyindc: That is why I said thanks... I know you were flaming, but rather trying to help me gain perspective. That is my problem. I am having a perspective problem right now.
