Depends on how you do it... but it's not a good indication of gayness.

Guys still do that? Haven't seen blonde highlights on a man since the end of boy bands. LOL

That's just abiding by the stereotype. I've met many straight men with them.

Totally makes me laugh

Guylights= Has nothing to do with sexual preference, but more, "I'd like to fit in with my peers. I'm afraid someone may find out I have no personality."
Think Scottsdale, AZ (Seven Jeans, Diesel shoes, Button up shirt, Just here for pussy type of guy)

Now adding dimension to your hair with variations of 1 or 2 levels is not really a highlight. That's a whole different story. It's very 90s and in full swing now

I would love to get dark highlights, but my eyebrows are to blond and so is my facial hair, it would look silly.

I would say it falls into the same category as when guys fix (pluck) their eyebrows, navel piercings or tramp stamps on the small of your back. Too feminine or just gay. I work out with a whole bunch of straight guys n they do notice this as well.

I think if I were a blond guy, I'd like to have some highlights - if they were done right by a pro........and not obvious. Better yet, here in LA, just go running on the beach a couple of Saturdays and you'll have them naturally. It is a good look for a blond guy, but out of the question for me. My hair is so dark, that all I get after a good run on the beach - or cycling in the hills, is a bit of light auburn highlighting.

I assume you're Latino, don't do it, it looks ridiculous!!! I'd like to pull it off too to change my look a little but dark skin and blonde hair on a guy equals TACKY

Back in the day when I had hair I had blonde highlights, think i pulled it off well, expensive though $60 bucks and an hour in the chair every other haircut

Well, yeah, on MsclDrew it looks good because he is already a natural blond. But on very dark hair it would not look right.

The only way I think it would look okay is if a person with very dark hair did medium "brown" highlights, not blond. Then it's just a skunk looking mess. And I personally think a person with black hair should not attempt to do any highlights.

You looked amazing with them... for 2 reasons: 1 you're a white kid (sexy), and 2 you already had blonde hair to start with. But on guys with black hair, it looks terrible!

I think it may be to old school. Unless it is just one severe stripe...I say that the other day and liked it...but kinda 80's punker looking...

If the colors clash then it's rather ugly. But if you're dirty blonde or light brown, it can look really good and sometimes sexy. I occasionally get blonde highlights; subtle ones though.
