    Damn.

I was all set to tell my bestfriend I was gay today. I spent the whole night last night tossing and turning lol.

It's his birthday. We always go out drinking on his birthday. Since his birthday is also the day we got thrown in jail. LOL (Check gigman's thread for details).

Anyhow, I texted him this afternoon, and he said he couldn't make it. icon_cry.gif He was on emergency duty at the hospital (he's a nurse).

He agreed to meet up later though. Maybe this weekend. Now I'm going crazy with anticipation all over again. icon_confused.gif

Awww, that is the worst situation when you're attempting to come out.

I remember when I was getting ready to tell my parents. I'd be out with friends and get myself ready for it, get home, and either my father or mother would be out. I wanted to tell them both at the same time.

This went on for a few weeks, until my mother found a letter my ex had mailed me some time after we broke up. Problem solved, hehe.

Here's my advice. Don't use special occasions to share things like that. Of course you could have shown him some things while you were in jail....

    Which was because...

You could take up Rollerblading then everyone will know you are gay. Oh wait, that only worked in the late 1980's.

oh ok. Probably a good thing it didn't pan out then. icon_confused.gif

Well, a few days after a birthday isn't enough to qualify as a holiday is it? icon_razz.gif

He's not really homophobic anyway. icon_wink.gif

We were in jail for breaking a curfew statute that we didn't even know existed (damn them city governments!), along with like... half of the class. icon_lol.gif

And rollerblades? nah. How about ballet? I could go and buy a tutu! icon_biggrin.gif

Rollerblading still works, but only if you wear very tight, very small satin shorts while at it. Oh, and no iPod. You have to use a Sony Walkman (the model that plays tapes, not CDs).

So Shawn, can I borrow your CD rewinder sometime? And maybe some Wite-Out for the next time I make a typo in a post? I just ran out.

And Sedative...good luck. I know it's easy to agonize over these things, but sometimes things come up on their own when the time is right.

Hopefully you will get a kick out of this.

I was getting the guts to come out to my best friend for three months. It was something I had to do but I never worked up the courage. Well, one night I decided to do it, no more waiting for a proper time, no more excuses, just out with it.

We were going to hang out later that evening and we were going to meet to go for a hike. Well, I get a call and he says he is unable to drive there, can I pick him up. Sure thing, no questions asked. I pick him up, we drive to the start of our hike and off we go.

Now, this kid at the age of 17 has never smoked a cigarette, never sipped anything alcoholic, and scoffed at people who did. So, when he started feeling up the trees, staring at nothing saying "whoa man" I thought he was just being a goof. Imagine my surprise when he tells me that he took mushrooms and hour ago and was tripping balls. This from the no drink, no drugs prude.

So he is telling me all the crazy things he is seeing. Birds flying on fire. Trees growling, their roots writhing. And I say "well, do you want to hear something really crazy..." and that was that. He took is swimingly all things considered.

Hope it does go well for you.
