So I've met a really nice guy- caring, warm etc. One thing- he's 8 months broken up with his bf of 18 years and they are in the middle of sorting out logistics. They have to sell a house together and his ex is staying with him in the house (he's not happy bout that)

He's a lovely guy, saying he wants things to go slow but I just worry if I'm gonna get hurt.

    Any thought?

Just relax and enjoy the ride. When I met Bill he was 4 months out of a 12 year relationship, which had hit the skids and become a roommate situation for the last couple of years..

PS Was I worried about getting hurt? You bet I was. Did it stop me? Nope.

Dont put any expectations on it either way. Simply be there and be ready for something to happen. Maybe it will- maybe it wont. Just dont be closed for the opportunity.

Seems like you genuinly like the guy- just keep seeing him and who knows...maybe you are his "one"

If he's your Mr Right, he will still be Mr Right when he's done dealing with the exe and all those issues.

"Potential" relationships are made of glass. Squeeze too hard and they'll burst into bloody shard right on you. =D
