Should I eat lots of protein (bars and shakes) to gain mass. But I still want to remain slim and lean is that possible?

Eat protein-rich food. It costs more than bars, but tastes a whole lot better.

They're addictive; like candy. I had myself convinced they were a healthy snack alternative...until they started becoming meal alternatives.

You can get Whey bars, which is better...about 25% of them are now. I agree with MuchMoreThanMuscle....soy is gender bending crap and so are all the other artificial ingredients.

That said; I keep them on hand for long rides or hikes. Keep them in the fridge so they're not so ...ready to eat.

the problem with bars is that people rely on them too often...rather they should be used in a pinch when you need some food to get you through or if you are out somewhere. I do Metrx Chocolate Graham Cracker...a bit high in sugar, 27 g of protein...eat maybe one a week

Do natural food as much as possible with some protein shakes added in
