Just for the hell of it I listened to her on Chris Wallace this morning and this woman is incapable of a straight answer when cornered by even a cheer leader such as Wallace.

He asked her what she thought of New York passing legislation to allow gay marriage, she said, "that's their right under the constitution"

He asked, but you've said you would vote for a constitutional amendment to state that marriage is legal only between a man and a woman, would you vote for that ? she said, "yes I would, because it would trump state law".

He said how is that consistent ? The dumb woman wants states rights until it goes against her religious beliefs, then she declared that both her beliefs in states rights and in voting for something from the fed that would trump states rights, was completely consistent. LOL !!! she never did explain that one !!

Yes I hope the dumb TBabbers get this idiot put in as the Republican Nominee then we will be assured that Obama will have another 4 years.

i sincerely hope that she becomes the GOP candidate for the Presidency.

with her as the "loyal opposition", President obama would be re-elected with a landslide majority.

I don't think she will ever get the nomination, though she could be a serious contender as V.P. depending on who does get the nomination. Regardless, you Dems on here acting so smug and thinking that people like Michelle Bachman, Sarah Palin, and others are not forces to reckon with in the coming campaign are in for a serious rude awakening. Millions of Americans are seriously disgruntled with Obama. He is not likely to have near the support in 2012 that he had in 2008, so regardless of who does get the Republican nomination, they will likely be a potential and very viable threat to the Obama presidency.

Tell that to the people who voted her into office in Minnesota. I'm not exactly a Michelle Bachman supporter, but the only one looking stupid are people that think SHE is. Oh, and just for the record -- IF Michelle Bachman, or anyone for that matter, is nominated for National office it will mean that "America" did NOT recoil in horror because you do not get nominated on the national level without a huge amount of support in America.

    .

When you say "that woman" of course I think of the Palin woman and you notice that she was "tapped" for the VP slot... a failed attempt, of course, but
we could have another horror filled experience...

    LOL

Not specifically in this thread, but it is interesting to read some RJ members refer to her as a moron or idiot. Of course not everyone, but several.

Would be interesting to see these members' bios, specifically education and business experience compared Bachmann's:

    * She spent five years as a federal tax litigation attorney, working on hundreds of civil and criminal cases.

    * She received a J.D. at the O.W. Coburn School of Law at Oral Roberts University and an L.L.M. in Tax Law at the College of William and Mary.

    * She and her husband own a small business mental health care practice that employs nearly fifty people.

The last thing we need is someone of Oral Roberts religious persuasion in our government to rule from the far right, so far she seems to fall right in line with his Christian Fundamentalist beliefs and that is a reason for true concern.

The rest of her "BIO" does her little good in light of her making such statements such as ---- all of congress needs to reviewed for their Patriotism ---(a paraphrase from her interview with Chris Matthews), questioning Obama's "FEMA retraining camps", going along with Palin and making similar statements about "Death Panels in ObamaCare" and the list of outrageous statements at her many TBAGGER appearances are enough to embarrass anyone with a thimble full o common sense, but not her.

YESSIREE you repubs have really outdone yourselves with this candidate. LOL !!!

Because you responded, you are one who referred to her as "The dumb woman". Why don't you list your academic and business accomplishments or any other accomplishments you deem relevant so we can see who is calling her dumb.

Get real. Bachmann is an even bigger joke than Palin.
The vast majority of REPUBLICANS have said that Palin's unqualified.

I will agree that most Americans (me included) are dissatisfied with different aspects of President Obama's job performance. But, we're certainly not going to replace him with somebody who's 10,000 times worse. Supreme Court appointments, alone, are the reason to reelect him.

The election will come down to the Independent voters, as it almost always does. And, they saw the results of giving the House of Representatives to the Republicans, in 2010. In 2012, they'll be staying away from the Republicans, in droves.

No disagreement at all. I was definitely not including you or referring to anyone's comments disagreeing with her politics or calling her unbalanced, insane, fascist, the devil, or whatever. I was very specifically referring to comments not limited to this thread that called her dumb, stupid, moronic, and the like. I was also implying that some who called her those names probably had far more modest accomplishments, themselves, that reflected on intelligence.

The statements I referred to above are just a few of her dumb remarks, maybe you'd like it better if I used the labels, poorly informed or mistaken ideas, whatever, but from my conversations in even local southern republicans opinion, they too express the thinking that she's dumb as a 'coal bucket', (to use a southern term). and no I'm not biting into your challenge to list anything. After all I'm not a candidate throwing out ridiculous accusations and spreading baseless ideas of what Obama is all about, as this dumb woman is. If you like this dumb woman and want her representing our great country by all means go and vote for her. LOL

It's not that I think she's dumb...just a bit of very good luck for Obama if her campaign catches on.....

another telling story.....47% of Minnesota voters just want her to go away.

Take a look at today's Washington Post, under Post Politics, there's a comment section devoted strictly to Bachmann and the comments are coming in at huge rates against her. I have to wonder if her popularity isn't largely because of Media attention only, because of Media persons amazement or curiosity at what this dumb woman is going to say next. Sensationalism sells, and she does provide that kind of entertainment.

one of the reasons i did not/could not vote for johhny mac in the last Presidential election was the possibily that he might die in office of a heart attack and that idiot SP would become our President.
