Is there any singer or group you would pay big $$ for a first row seat and a meet and greet? If so, how much would you pay?

My friend has no problem dishing out the dollars for big ticket concerts.....and fortunately for me he takes me along (probably for comic relief). Recently we saw Rihanna, and Madonna's last tour in the first row seats as well as Lady Gaga.... (although with Gaga we had to stand through the show as well as two opening acts and I felt like Bill Murray from "Meatballs" surrounded by little campers lol).

Anyway.....there is no concert, no artist that I think is worth the big bucks to see. I would never pay a ton of dollars for preferred seating etc. I often think to myself "For the price of these tickets I could be on a cruise!".

What about you? Is there someone worth it to you? And if so, what is the top $$ you would shell out for the experience?

I typically don't enjoy concerts, especially if I'm accompanied by other people. People at concerts are just as annoying as the the sound levels.

However, I do and will pay pretty much anything for Tori and Bjork. Yes, it's my generation, but I am notorious for leaving half way through. For some reason I experience auditory fatigue more quickly than most.

Brand New. I'd give my life for one chance to be that close to Jesse Lacey.

Brand New? Googling as we speak. The only "Brand New(s)" that come to my mind are "Brand New Key" by Melanie, "You Make Me Feel Brand New'" by the Stylistics and Simply Red...and "The Brand New Heavies".

I guess my generation is showing. icon_biggrin.gif

Outside of Broadway shows, I don't like paying huge sums of money for entertainment events. It's an hour, hour and a half. That amount of time is not worth a boatload. And they almost never sound as good as live.

I would pay more than usual to see Adele though. I am still bitter her show sold out so fast in Philly. I want her to make me cry to "Someone Like You" live.

I have three singers/groups in mind. Green Day I would shovel out bout 300 for front row of the pit and meet and greet. Black Eyed Peas probably would pay 500 to meet and greet (They're my favorite so I could see me dropping something like that.) Then my really gay side did take over once and i bought front of the pit and backstage passes to see katy perry at the begining of the june for about 160ish.

Brand New first came out around '99-2000 with their debut album "Your Favorite Weapon" and have had three other album releases. Each one getting progressively better and more mature.

Jesse Lacey is a lyrical master - and I bow before his greatness.

we were gonna see her in cincinnati....to sit in the pit, the only really good seats...front row, would have been 1,500 plus, per ticket....I love janet, but no one is worth that.

Curious Jily....what show and how much would you pay?

I do agree....somehow I can rationalize paying $302 per ticket to see "The Book of Mormon" because there is no guess work! I KNOW it is going to be great. icon_biggrin.gif

I think I would spend $200 to see a Prince show, and meet him. He has always fascinated me. I wish I could have made it out to LA to see his 21 night stand. Those tix were only $25.

Well I just dished out $150 for a ticket to see Paul McCartney and I am not very close to the stage. In my younger years it would have been Bruce Springsteen. One of my first real 'crushes' was a HUGE fan of Bruce and introduced me to his music and I became a great fan too!!
