SexyN3rd saidIt was fucking amazing, words can't describe. I came out here for my 21st birthday vacation, and I got to drink in the parade and got the whole crowd riled up. I got thousands of cheers and smiles, hundreds of high fives and kisses and I waved around this huge rainbow flag and it was probably the single most awesome positive experience I have had thus far in my life.
So was the rest of the vacation!
Just wanted to share, happy pride everybody!!
Great for you! I led the first gay pride parade in the history of Fargo, North Dakota on my motorcycle in 2004. A week later I managed to get approval from "Dykes on Bikes" to ride with them, as their sole "Designated Gay Guy" in the lead element of the Twin Cities Gay Pride Parade. Which is claimed to be the 3rd largest in the US. Do you know what it feels like to parade in front of several hundred thousand spectators, all the media there? I've posted pics here before of both.
And I've marched on foot in other gay Prides, and pedaled a bicycle. Isn't it great, as you say?
And I can anticipate what the naysayers will post. "*I* wouldn't do that, *I* wouldn't be involved in that. *I* wouldn't show myself in a gay celebration."
But I'm glad you did. Demonstrating more balls and conviction than many of these guys here. Congrats!
