In fact, she's become the poster child for the Repub party's constant failure to get the facts straight.

    The Repubs will SAY ANYTHING.
And Bachmann is proof of it.

There are several Highly reputable Media, right now showing examples or giving bloggers opportunity to comment with lists of these 'far out' statements of Bachmann's. But the Dumb woman is not the least embarrassed to go forward with those growing lists of her gaffs, exaggerations and half truths as her standard MO. LMAO !! So let the Sheeple who put her second in popularity among the TBag card holding Repub Candidates, have what they want. Then we will have even more Dems in office come 2012. Bring her on, I cannot wait to hear her debate Obama on good old fashioned facts, my god what will she even talk about in that kind of setting? LOL !!

    OMG!

This reminds me of Obama's speech a week or two ago where he said he pinned the Medal of Honor on a particular soldier - mentioning him by name - but it turned out that soldier had been killed prior to being awarded the medal.

Also reminds me of how Obama is claiming to have "saved or created" 3 million jobs.... recently revised downwards by his propaganda team to having "created 2 million jobs" when the facts are that from the day Obama took office to today, there has been a net loss of 1.9 million jobs.

But.... everyone makes a mistake or two (or many), don't they RickRick? icon_lol.gif

The liberals all piling on to Bachmann has prompted me to actually take a closer look at her policies, as anyone who is drawing so much fire from the liberals must have some very good policies (i.e. are considered by the liberals as a credible threat to the advancement of their big government / nanny state agenda).

Yes. And her policies include reparative therapy for gay men. Hope you enjoy the ECT!

(with apologies to the writers of SNL's news segment)

southbeach jane, you ignorant bitch...you do realize that soldiers can be awarded medals posthumously?

Compendiums of fact checks cannot keep up with her.
Politifact added 2 false and 1 barely true statements for her.

Today she said John Quincy Adams was a Founding Father!
Andrew Jackson was born in the same year as JQA. He was a founding father too, then? icon_lol.gif

    Hence the wikipedia edit:

They're trying to edit wikipedia to support Bachmann's assertion, just like they did with Paul Revere's entry to support Sarah Palin's claim.

    That's just dumb.

Why can't her supporters accept her flubs? They should know by now that Bachmann throws out wild accusations and hopes they stick. She has a long history of getting the facts wrong. They should accept that and focus on what they believe her strengths might be.

    Whatever those are...

No, her supporters should question her like Stephanopoulos:

ABC transcript Bachmann: Well you know what’s marvelous is that in this country and under our constitution, we have the ability when we recognize that something is wrong to change it. And that’s what we did in our country. We changed it. We no longer have slavery. That’s a good thing. And what our Constitution has done for our nation is to give us the basis of freedom unparalleled in the rest of the world.

    Stephanopoulos: I agree with that…

Bachmann: That’s what people want...they realize our government is taking away our freedom.

Stephanopoulos: But that’s not what you said. You said that the Founding Fathers worked tirelessly to end slavery.

Bachmann: Well if you look at one of our Founding Fathers, John Quincy Adams, that’s absolutely true. He was a very young boy when he was with his father serving essentially as his father’s secretary. He tirelessly worked throughout his life to make sure that we did in fact one day eradicate slavery...

Stephanopoulos: He wasn’t one of the Founding Fathers – he was a president, he was a Secretary of State, he was a member of Congress, you’re right he did work to end slavery decades later. But so you are standing by this comment that the Founding Fathers worked tirelessly to end slavery?

Andrew Jackson, born in the same year, was a supporter of slavery. Whoops, that disqualifies him as a founding father--besides his age. icon_lol.gif
