    anyone here ever had this.....have been plagued with leg swelling for couple years on and off and drs just seem to blow it off....checked for congestive heart failure and all kinds of other stuff....but could never identify it cause there was no real redness...this weekend left leg blew up and bright red and hot to touch...being blasted with antibiotics and told to stay off as much as possible, and quote..we are going to try and save your leg.....ugh

    Just make sure this isn't phlebitis. Do you have calf pain with it?

    no, actually no pain at all, just that tight skin feel when i stand up

    Yes. It's most likely caused by a MRSA infection. It can be excrutiatingly painful, and expensive to treat too.
