Two of my current favorites are Ip Man and Ip Man 2. Not only does the story and drama hold up just as well as the action (which is incredible), but it's loaded with sexy menz (the Japanese commander/judo guy being almost distracting).

Next up is Dragon Tiger Gate, another Donnie Yen movie (I actually didn't recognize him because of the wig). This movie is like some kind of awesome live action anime full of all the expected camp and melodrama but still totally awesome.

Then there is Chocolate, a movie about a girl with autism who is able to learn fighting moves through muscle mimicry (which may or may not qualify as a super power, comic book nerds are still debating it), she also posses what seem to be enhanced senses/reflexes which honestly may just be a by product of her focus.

    Ip Man 1, 2, and 3.

    Kung Fu Hustle

Wing Chun (the old one wih Michelle Yeoh)

    True Legend

Fortunately for me the mall near me has two foreign cinema stands that literally sell nothing but karate flicks. They are in Japanese/Chinese, but some are in English too.

I fucking love Ip Man 1+2. Especially 2. I crack up so much at the blatant anti-japanese and anti-english themes. I've got the newest Ip man prequel downloaded but i've not watched it yet, i'm pretty sure it has a different director.

Generally love anything with Bruce Lee in it. Most Jet Li films, the abomination that was "The One" aside. Kill Bill Vol. 1&2, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Kung fu hustle.

Seeing as they've not popped up yet i'd heavily recommend Merantau Warrior, which has some incredible fight scenes in. Ong Bak 1 & 2 are pretty fun too.

There was another, I can't remember what it is though.. It involves some pretty low budget filming and an odd storyline but the fight scenes are great, involving a group of people performing a kind of drunken martial art while tracking down a gang of female sex traffickers.. argh it'll come to me.

    Edit: It's Raging Phoenix icon_biggrin.gif

I saw Raging Phoenix! The actress is the same girl in Chocolate ( so if you like her I highly advise you to see it. Chocolate has a better story and is less comical.
