This attack is one of total desperation. Media consultants have advised Obama and Axlerod that blaming Bush is no longer an option. It is counter-productive. So what are their options? The Democrats controlled the Executive branch and all of Congress until January 2011. Their policies are viewed as a failure. They certainly have nothing to brag about so in desperation for the failure on their watch, they blame the Republicans. This is the beginning of what many predict will be a totally negative campaign by the Democrats. They are desperate to escape the judgement for the direction people see the country going in the past two years. Given the unemployment figures, the approval rating of Obama, and the poll results showing dissatisfaction and belief the country is on the wrong track, this is nothing but a Hail Mary. Unless the Republicans screw up, the Democrats on on track to lose big time. They know it and they are angry.

Actually polls consistently show that Americans blame Republicans for the economy. Rightly so.

Look at the polls on Obama's job performance and specifically handling of the economy. They are worried big time. Rightly so.

The Republicans got us in this mess. They are trying to prevent Obama & the Democrats from getting us out of this mess. They announced as Obama took office that their principle goal was to make him fail. The sabotage of the economy is their way of doing this. Despite the pain & suffering it is causing ordinary Americans, while benefiting their billionaire donors. But hey, with Republicans, it's all about Party, never people. The ends justify the means.

REPUBLICANS --------- Say government doesn't work, then they 'pull every trick in the book' to get elected. ONCE IN OFFICE THEY DO EVERYTHING THEY CAN TO SUCCEED IN TURNING GOVERNMENT INTO SOMETHING THAT DOESN'T WORK. Then they blame the Democrats and make the claims again that "government doesn't work", Its nice to be right isn't it !! being religious/conservative Republicans, you can always be right. LOL !!

Is that the best you can do? There are a number of WSJ columnists who would also be delusional by your standards. But that's ok.
