to be honest, i'd go with the RAF. i'm not familiar with your military structure, but, if you like planes etc, i'd go with the one that takes me in that direction. i would not trade my stint with the israeli airforce for anything. great experience and a great bunch of people all around.

Hey I want to wish you luck in whatever branch you end up going into. I have always wanted to join the military but am medically disqualified in my country. I plan on moving to a different country and doing some type of military service there.

what do you want to do in the military? don't forget, its a job. different branches offer different opportunities...I dont really get why you are deciding between the air force and the marines...they are pretty different...do you want to be infantry? do you want to be an officer or use your degree? do you want to learn a new skillset?

I've been considering the same options as you for next year; a pedestrian/law career can always be defered for a few years, whereas we will only be young, adventurous and eligible simultaneously for a relatively short window.

Personally speaking, I think if I do eventually fully commit to the idea, it would be to aim for Royal Marine Officer. They are fucking bad ass, the training/specialisms on offer is much more down my alley, and maximizes the chance to progress to further bad ass divisions, e.g. The SAS. The elite.

Analyze your personality, research what you would be doing in both career scenarios. As they are so different it shouldn't take you long to realize which you are more suited to/will get the greater satisfaction from.

oh yes i forgot to put the direction, i would like to be one of the guys that trains them such as a marines PT prehaps, im not sure i really have to look into it more so , also im stupidly adventurous and a bit of a dare devil, so i guess what fills the criteria
